The consensus of the fat cats is that all they have to do is throw their magical money at a new product or service and the world will reward them by making them even richer.

My older brother (very poor) borrowed money from his girlfriend (very rich) to start a new business that would save home builders tens of thousands of dollars on construction costs and delays. But after a year and a half of promoting it he's about to shut it down, because in all that time they only managed to acquire one customer.

So, here's a fat cat who invested in a new business/service that failed. Why did it fail?

THERE WERE NO CONSUMERS WILLING TO BUY IT.

Consumers 1, fat cats 0.

my husband is self employed and does very well...he provides a service. in fact, he does so good, he can't keep up because he is good at the service he provides

he has hired someone to pick up what he cannot manage due to workload, trained the guy in and people are satisfied

that's how it works and even on a much bigger scale

no one invented a job for my husband but he did create a job...or work...for someone who needed it...and btw, the employee gets paid twice what he would for doing the same thing for someone else

so simple to understand

with that type of thought processing you will always reach the same conclusion

congratulations. let me be the first to tell you, you shall not be moved

I have always believed there are solutions to problems and I actually pray about that and seek ways to solve problems

then, we have folks that are most content moaning about their 'lot in life'. I don't accept that.

I do believe that may be a defining moment right there. you define things one way and I, another.

I never really expected to move you either.

But respond to the question... one fat cat invests and fails, while another invests and succeeds.

What made the difference?

One made a product/service that consumers bought into, another made a product/service that consumers shunned.

It's interesting that this is the point at which you bail.

And yeah, given those parameters there IS no other conclusion to be reached.

Is this a case of rats bailing a sinking ship?

(Quoting a saying, not calling you a rat by any means).

Maybe the president didn't actually say that about Haiti! It has been said by others in that meeting that Trump didn't say it that way but the fake news runs with yet another unconfirmed smear.I for one am glad he is there and fighting for us and I pray for him, his family and staff daily that they continue to succeed! As Trump has said... Don't back down...DOUBLE DOWN! And take this country back! 2 term president/MAGA.
