Pastor Sandy Armstrong has been teaching for two years on the Biblical basis from the Psalms and Genesis for 2022 to be the year of the rapture. He makes a compelling case.

I'll ask you in 2023 how that prophecy is doing.

Pssssst.

The Vatican/the Papacy is the kingdom of antichrist.

Pardon the interruption.

You may now resume looking for the antichrist in all the wrong places.

The problem with making year predictions about something like the return of Christ is they’re probably wrong and they can lead people astray.

Think there aren’t people gullible enough to read something on an Internet forum, take it to heart, and anticipate it? Who will they follow when the Jesus they were looking for doesn’t show up… maybe a false Jesus.

Just a few days ago I stumbled across a livestream of a woman claiming she is the true messiah. I called her a fake and moved on.

People predicting the return of Christ, being utterly wrong, and then people claiming to be Christ will capitalize on it. Someone, somewhere, is going to be deceived. Don’t feed into the deception.l machine. This should go without saying, but stay staunchly Biblical.

Often people will give you 9 truths and 1 lie. It’s that one lie that gives them their foot in the door to pry the flood gates open.

There are very distinct differences between those who are watching for the Lord's return and those that lead astray.

2Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

False teachers have secret teachings that only those in the inner circle know. Peter says they "privately bring in damnable heresies". So they are like FreeMasons or secret societies. Publicly their teachings are not "damnable heresies", but once you learn the secret teachings they are damnable heresies. Any teaching can be classified as a "heresy" or school of thought. What makes a teaching damnable is if it causes the Body of Christ to be divided or if it in some way contradicts the items of the faith. Obviously any teaching on the internet that is available to all will not be "private" or "secret". But don't think this only applies to some horrible cult. Many of these large mega churches have "secret teachings". For example, once the FreeMasons or Jesuits infect a church with their cash they will require that they not speak about the rapture. That is a private teaching and it is damnable because the Lord commanded us to watch for His return.

2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

Pernicious means to have a harmful effect in a gradual or subtle way. The greek definition is much stronger than "harmful" it means destruction which consists of eternal misery in hell. It can also mean perishing and ruin. So when you see the gradual decline of main stream Christianity what you are seeing is the result of following "their pernicious ways". Jim Jones was not gradual destruction. Some woman on the internet claiming to be the Messiah is not a secret teaching. These are so blatantly obvious as to only apply to the lost.

3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Feigned words means fabricated stories. The best example of this that I know of is Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. Witness Lee would claim that he was the closest coworker of Watchman Nee (a credible claim). He then explains that Watchman Nee was excommunicated by the elders in the church because they saw him in a house with a woman but that the woman was his mother. That is a fabricated story. Everyone who sat under Witness Lee's ministry heard that story many times and yet when you search his written work you can't find it. This was the "secret" story because it was patently false, and actually absurd. It was a fabricated story that was essential to Witness Lee to claim that Watchman Nee was the "apostle of the age" (again a story that all heard him say but was not so easy to find in print) and that the vision and ministry that Nee had was passed to Witness Lee. If he told the truth that Watchman Nee was excommunicated because he was involved in fornication and adultery it would ruin his entire fabricated story. But there was a point to this story, he had "the vision of the age" hence you should not listen to anyone else but him. Every church they raised up became a franchise for his ministry where they sold his books exclusively. Every church had a standing order whether they sold them or not, in this way they "made merchandise of them".

The watchmen we are seeing concerning the Lord's coming are nothing like this.

1. Everything they are speaking is in the open and public. No secret teachings for the inner circle or those who pay.

2. We are not seeing the gradual destruction of them on the contrary the voices speaking and warning of the soon return of the Lord are growing exponentially.

3. There is no fabricated story for why this speaker or that speaker "has the vision of the ages".

4. They are not making merchandise of you. There are quite a few out there that have not monetized their ministry at all. There are others who do sell books but there is nothing that suggests exclusivity. The Bible says you shall not muzzle the ox that treads out the corn, so this one point is not sufficient to be labeled a "false prophet". They aren't selling flowers at the airport, etc.

5. No one is leading anyone astray. They aren't setting up "watchmen churches", they aren't heading to Guyana.

Nope.

A harsh Biblical and historical reality instead.
Anti-Christ denies Jesus is the Christ. He denies the Father and the Son, i.e. the Holy Trinity, according to St. John the Apostle.

"Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son [i.e. the Holy Trinity]." (1 Jn 2:22)

The Catholic Church, and also the Anglican Church of England (re: OP), do not do this, but teach the Holy Trinity, the Kingship, Lordship and Divinity of Jesus Christ as King of Kings. Therefore, neither Church is the Anti-Christ. Two World Religions that do deny the Divinity of Jesus Christ are Judaism and Islam.

Back to Queen Elizabeth of Blessed Memory: "
‘We are all deeply saddened by the news of the death of Her Majesty The Queen. For nearly all of us Her Majesty is the only monarch we have known, and this truly marks the end of an era. Her dedication and commitment to this country has been unwavering, and her Christian faith an inspiration. May she rest in peace and rise in glory’.
The Very Revd Mark Bonney, Dean of Ely

Requiem Eucharist for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
A Prayer for Her Majesty, The Queen
Heavenly Father,
We give you great thanks for the life and work of Her Majesty The Queen, for her unstinting service and devotion to the nation and the Commonwealth and her dedicated duty to the good of her people which has never failed.
We thank you too for her strength, her unassuming and modest character, her support for generations of governments and all who have served in her name.
We give thanks to her heartfelt and powerful witness to Jesus Christ, her love for her family, and we pray for them and all who mourn her death.
Amen"

And St. Paul gives us another clue by which we can identify anti-christ, and also against "doom and gloom preachers", also ELIMINATE false candidates who are allegedly the anti-Christ. Someone who confesses Jesus is Lord CANNOT be Anti-Christ.

1 Cor 12:3

"Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

Now, Anti-Christ will not have the Holy Spirit. Hence, it is manifest that he will be unable to confess "Jesus is Lord".

Therefore, someone who confesses Jesus is Lord is not the anti-christ nor a candidate to be him. That should be clear.

God Bless.

The "antichrist" does not mean a person who is outwardly "against Christ" but rather a counterfeit Christ. Cult leaders would count, anyone claiming to be the "Messiah" would count, anyone claiming to be a mediator between God and Man would count, anyone claiming to be "the apostle" would count. All of these count as denying that Jesus is the Christ and denying the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are the trinity.

The antichrist is a liar so just because someone says all the right things about Jesus does not mean they don't deny the Lord who bought them. Our standing in the church and before Jesus and before God the Father is based solely on the work Jesus did on the cross. If you need that plus something then they are denying the Lord who bought them. So requiring someone to be subject to the Pope or any other leader to be considered a "member" of the church is to deny the Lord who bought them. Instead you should require that they be subject to the Lord, the incarnated word of God.

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

*Please note I used the term "the apostle" as opposed to "an apostle". I agree that there is a very big distinction between the apostle's in the book of acts and those who raise up churches today. I do not like the use of the term apostle at this time in history applied to anyone. However, if you define an apostle as someone who raises up churches then OK, as long as you are not calling that person "the" apostle. Jesus is "the apostle".

Do not buy into Hollywood's phony depiction of Satan and the Antichrist.

The Antichrist is not a competitor with Jesus. Satan is not a competitor with Jesus. God created all things through the word of God, everything was made by God, through God and for God.

AntiChrist and Satan do an important job. Think of how we refine silver or how we do gold plating or how we separate out garbage at a recycling plant.

We have something that attracts the item we want, silver is heavier than the impurities so once melted in the fire it will sink to the bottom and you can scoop off the impurities. Using electricity we can attract certain metals and pull them out of a solution. Likewise they use magnets to pull out all the iron at a recycling plant.

God is refining His believers. He uses Satan to turn up the fire, He also uses Satan and the AntiChrist to attract all those that are not believers. Jesus said He would send out His angels to gather all the tares into bundles and all the wheat into His barn. Same concept. Even the fallen angels do God's will. All things work together for good to those that love God.

How about the unrighteous judge? He is like a universal weight machine to help the believers build up their prayer life.

If you are sealed with the Holy Spirit you have nothing to fear from Satan or the AntiChrist or any demon or fallen angel.

On the other hand you can say that the Antichrist is a competitor with the believers.

He denies the Lord who bought us. We should be witnessing for the Lord who bought us.

Imagine you are in a trial and he is up there saying all kinds of things insulting the Lord who bought us. How can you sit there silent?

The antichrist has pernicious ways that cause a gradual and subtle decline all the way to hell. We should be showing people Jesus who is the way to the Father. We should be leading people out of hell, snatching them from the fire.

The antichrist will set up damnable heresies that set people against each other, we should be showing the way of peace and life.

“False prophets among the people…”
“False prophets among you…”
“Bring in damnable heresies…”
“Many follow their pernicious ways…”
“The way of truth spoke evil of…”
“Make merchandise of you…”

Sadly this is speaking of the grossly fractured and severely divided church with weeds growing among the wheat. Complete with prosperity gospels preachers, preaching a license to sin and abuse God’s grace through hyper-grace doctrines.

Ever tried to preach to gospel to someone before? I have a lot. Because of the money-hungry church who hypocritically judge the world for their sin are practicing sin themselves because they believe they can abuse God’s grace because they’re saved now.

People see that and maybe 5 times out of 10 people will flat out reject the gospel singularly because they don’t want to be like the disingenuous “Christians” that have come to dominate the public eye. They speak evil of the truth.

There is nothing in the gospel of Jesus Christ that would justify someone rejecting Him because of the prosperity gospel or the license to sin.

The prosperity gospel and the license to sin isn’t true gospel or Biblical… hence the false prophets among the people abs among us.

The church “makes merchandise of you” or makes profit off of congregants through the prosperity gospel.

The license to sin is a damnable heresy and it’s common in the church.

The world is watching. They know churches just want money and are hypocrites. I’ve heard so many stories from unrepentant sinners who just want nothing to do with it. Even I want nothing to do with it which is part of the reason why I’ve had so much difficulty finding a church to go to.

I view the church as a hospital, so the fact that there are sick people there is fine with me, that is the way it should be. The only criteria I have is that they teach the Bible and embrace the items of the faith. They must believe that the entire Bible is the word of God. If they teach that certain words are no longer applicable I am out of there. Also if they are exclusive so that you have to pass a test to be able to fellowship with them and they condemn anyone who fellowships with other Christians then I am out of there as well.

I pray for the Lord to lead me.

If I see a church that is really well funded, with huge meetings then I will stay away. They could be influenced by FreeMasons or it could simply be a weekly "show" with a stadium full of spectators.

Regardless the church will be a couple of meetings a week. In addition to that I have my daily time with the Lord and I am also a member of the Gideon's so that ministry will have a few meetings a week as well.

Anyone who is seriously seeking can easily find a place to fellowship.

I can find a place of fellowship, but it would most likely violate my conscience.

I won’t go to churches that preach eternal conscious torment for the unsaved. That pretty much eliminates all of my options. I’m not aware of any legitimate churches that actually preach that the unsaved perish, are destroyed, and put to death.

Also, I’m in Vietnam so finding English speaking churches aren’t easy. Furthermore, many of the churches are Catholic and some are LDS. I’m not even aware of a Protestant denomination church here or a non-denominational church.
