Did you know that Africans sold Africans to slavers? Do you also know that slavery is not the actual cause of the Civil War?

Please stop with all the accusations.
Your logical fallacy is called non sequitur
the fact that there were black slave owners doesn't make it any less morally repugnant

That is what you are calling it, but I was trying to educate lanolin who seems to think everything in history is about how bad black people have been treated.

I didn't say anything about slave owners. I said slave traders. Not the same thing.

You also do not seem to actually exchange or discuss. I'm not affected by your personal persuasions and you are free to accuse or excuse as you see fit. I just know I do not care to live that way. I prefer trying to understand but I am not going to agree with lies either just to seem like I think I need to somehow make it up to people I never did anything to in the first place.

While I do have concern for injustice, I cannot see any sort of justice in what has transpired nor any sort of actual desire to make wrong right, in the big show the Democrats always put on. ESPECIALLY considering they are the ones running the cities with the biggest problems.

Not going to argue with you.

well in america they dont truly understand democracy.
So do you know what event George Washington said would indicate that Americans were no longer capable of governing themselves and therefore it should be of little consequence from what quarter their master would comes from?

ok in education.....whites were priveliged over blacks back in the day when schools started it was segregated and no black person could go with white people....when it was desegragated they still had to sit aprt whites always go the best and first dibs and the black schools were underfunded.
in some schools parents dont even want black or dark skinned teachers teaching their white children.

in schools if you were black often you were told by white teachers you had to sit at the back. before you even opened you mouth.

in housing.....if you were not white you were automatically turned away so you coulndt even rent with racist policies and attitudes.

jobs...if your name is foreign sounding you dont even get a reply or lookin.

in healthcare....some people do not want anyone with black skin even touching them.
What country are you from ? And I know from the 60's if a white teacher tried to discipline a black kid she was confronted as racist .. And it's got worse by the year .. Most do pretty good .. And jobs recruit folks of color .. Plus they check your work history, drug test, background checks, reference checks and skill tests .. Bad apples come in all colors .. I was told after I won competition for a job in the 70's that minorities automatically had free points added to their scores , it was supposed to be secret .. I didn't care but wasn't surprised at all .. I never got housing, welfare, food stamps or any gov handouts, it was on me to go to work every day and invest in my own work history ..

Why do you believe people should apologize for something they have never done? Per example. My home country was never colonialist, I just happen to live in the USA. My people in fact were captured as slaves during the Ottoman empire. So what should I apologize for? For being born with less melanin? Are you listening to yourself?
Also cough, cough abolitionists anybody? Believing that guilt is inheritable to descendants, did you learn that in the Bible?

Slavery was a fact of life for 6000 years .. Then freedom in the US and now you work just as hard but pay your own way snowflake ..
And beatings were motivational like it or not .. Kids were whipped in the mills in the late 1800's early 1900's by the boss if they ''cut up'' .. Sailors got beat if they didn't follow orders on ships they signed up to sail on .. It don't sound sexy but it happened .. The Bible gives instuctions on slavery like it or not .. If you work today you are a slave of sorts to your employer, do what you're told or you're out and some one else in ..

What kind of policies and what kind of amends and to whom, if you would elaborate on the specifics. And who should pay, just please don't say "government". This vagueness is the problem, specific final demands need to be set that will either be met or not, instead of endless displeasure cycle, diversity programs are useless in the sense of resolving the problem. I think this needs to be settled once and for all instead of being an eternal issue so we can move on. Government apologizing is fine. But a lot of people are saying to regular people that they should apologize because they are white. This is racism. Every man should answer for his own doings. How do you feel about the Asian policeman out of the four who refused to help Floyd?

Yes! The British SYSTEMATICALLY starved my recent ancestors, to the tune of 1,000,000 Irish souls, at the same time slavery ended in America.

My mom's family emigrated to Canada, and then N.J. at the turn of the last century. Being born and growing up in the most prosperous and free Country on Earth, where EVEN today, people leave EVERYTHING they have and family, to come here by any means necessary, is reparations enough from the British.

Equal rights you would think should go up by standards but as time goes on and everyone's rights are lowered to that same level then because everyone sees what equal means, together they will fight for equal rights.

I didn't want to put my son in with animals, my oldest got whipped at home to act right and not take advantage of anybody , thank God he was put in the top advanced classes away from the dummies who usually had failed a grade or two and much older .. My youngest I didn't have to worry about , he didn't take any from nobody .. He fought one of the bullies down one day and the Principle told me it was school policy he had to be suspended , then he shut the door and shook my hand and said ''this is between you and me but I'm so glad Jamie beat that thug down, he was terrorizing all the other kids'' .. Jesus, love and discipline can not fail
