It isn't necessary to read the Catechism. In fact it's a waste of time. I learned early on that what my Methodist church said on paper and what it actually practiced were worlds apart. Now, I don't know exactly what's in the Catechism but I don't need it to know Catholicism is not Christianity. It's paganism in a Christian wrapper; at least in practice.
I’d really like to know who you think Catholics worship other than the Trinitarian God of the New Testament?

Hi Fortress. I was trying to think of an example that would illustrate my point. The first one that came to mind is Nadab and Abihu from Leviticus 10:

"Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu put coals of fire in their incense burners and sprinkled incense over them. In this way, they disobeyed the Lord by burning before him the wrong kind of fire, different than he had commanded. So fire blazed forth from the Lord’s presence and burned them up, and they died there before the Lord."—Leviticus 10:1-2

They were burning incense to the Lord God, but they did it in a manner that was not authorized by Him. The situation is the same with Catholics. They claim to worship the Father and the Son but they aren't sincere. This is clearly obvious because they don't obey His word.

"Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. You hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you:

'These people honor Me with their lips,

but their hearts are far from Me.
They worship Me in vain;
they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.' "—Matthew 15:6-9

One thing I do know about Catholicism is that when there's a conflict between the word of God and their tradition, tradition trumps. Does that sound like some folks who believe in the Father and the Son? One very clear example of this is their insistence that popes and priests remain celibate. This isn't something they learned from god's word. It's pure paganism. Supposedly Peter was the first "pope" and all the others follow in his line. But Peter was married! How do you explain this?

"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers."—John 10:1-5

I can tell you’re a good person, so I’ll do my best to be respectful.

The celibacy issue you spoke about ^, isn’t a biblically mandated thing. Tomorrow the Pope could wake up and say all priests can marry. All or most of the Eastern Catholic Rites are allowed to have married Priests, because that’s the tradition of the Eastern Rites. That’s just not how it is in the Latin Rite. So don’t view it as something the Catholic Church is saying can never change. Paul does speak about the merits of remaining unmarried and I know that’s where it ordinates from.

I can talk about tradition more if you would like. I just don’t want to make an enormously long post you don’t want to read 😉

Well, I can't argue this point. My whole point is the irrationality of saying the popes descend from Peter when Peter was married.

Catholicism should be attacked not because it is more evil then freemasonry and the others but because it is closer to the truth while not being the truth and thus it is more able to deceive and lead people to the eternal lake of fire.. The greatest deceptions should be the ones we expose and warn people of because they are the ones that deceive the most..
The evil one will use half truths and bits of scripture.

I’m not sure what being married has to do with another man succeeding Peter. I’m actually not even sure when the celibacy position became a fixed one.

The popes supposedly occupy the office of Peter, so I guess it doesn't follow necessarily that they would have to imitate him in every respect. However, the fact that Peter was married demonstrates that a person who holds the office can be married; so, to make celibacy mandatory seems kinda strange. It seems to go beyond God's word to their own made-up tradition.

If Francis wanted to marry, he could change that practice today, he’s able to make that decision. Honestly when you look at his job I don’t think he would be able to be a good husband as much as he travels and being consumed with the duties of his position. It’s probably why there isn’t much momentum to change that.

That's a pretty bold statement. You are so sure that Catholics are going to hell, that you advocate attacking them rather than confronting freemasons, who actually worship satan and sacrifice people to the devil. What if you're wrong? What if Catholics don't go to hell? What if you've just misinterpreted scripture a little bit? Then you're going to meet your maker and have to explain why you attacked fellow Christians rather than confront satanists? Don't you think that would be a bit embarrassing?
I do NOT focus my attack upon catholics.... I attack Catholicism .. I attack the religion not the people deceived by that religion.. I attack that religion to undermine it's legitimacy in the eyes of those who have been deceived by it.. I want the salvation of those who are currently catholics NOT the destruction of those who are catholics..

I am a former catholic and during my life No One came to me to tell me how the roman catholic church was against the teachings of the LORD Jesus.. My fortune was to have a friend at work who gifted me a Bible to read.. If that person had never given me a Bible a Bible that i read i would probably still be a catholic today and still in darkness..

As for freemasons i have had my fair share of confronting freemasonry in forums.. Again not to attack Freemasons but to undermine freemasonry that which has those freemasons deceived.. It is pretty simple to undermine freemasonry in the minds of Christians and thats just to highlight the well known first ceremony that freemasons go through to become freemasons..

Again i am not attacking people.. I am attacking False religions..

I do not want to attack satanists.. I would attack satanism..

And i would much rather be embarrassed before the LORD then to know i failed to shine the light before men..

Just curious, I’ve identified myself as Catholic but you haven’t made any distinction. Do you identify with a particular denomination?
No.. I am a Bible believing Christian..

When you attack Catholicism, you are attacking the faith of every Catholic. So yeah a Catholic will take it personally. I was a Southern Baptist for almost 30 years before I became Catholic. So I have my own feelings too about what is being taught in those Churches. It’s a made up 16th century rendition of Christianity. But it’s ridiculous for you to think you can separate the Catholic from Catholicism.

If you had troubles with what you where being taught then you should have grabbed a Bible and read it through and become a Bible believing Christian.. Do you seriously think that just because a religion is in opposition to the religion you are currently in and are having disagreements with is the right religion.. Don't you know satan has many religions in this world.. You can escape from a snare and then fall into a pit the next day in this world..

Dude, you can claim to be a Bible believing Christian all you want. You all believe something different about the Bible. All y’all do is contradict each other. This forum is a perfect example.

I just had a eternal security believer tell me that new believers in God can’t be saved unless the come to a very specific understanding of the Bible and pledge to believe that first. Not by grace, you have to put in that work or you’re not saved. There’s another group on here that are strict Sola scriptura adherents that believe Jesus is the Archangel Michael. Then there are those on here that think no sin whatsoever will ever send you to hell, no need to repent for anything.

That’s Protestantism, believe anything you want because there is no one that has a right to tell you you’re wrong. No thanks.

So the Bible told you not to be part of the church Christ established and just sit at home with your Bible and you’re all good?
Christ established the Church on the day of Pentecost when the Apostles where indwelled by the Holy Spirit.. I am part of that church, The body of Christ..

The catholic religon was the harlot created 300 years later when Constantine in his struggle for worldly power in the roman empire made a play to secure support from a sizable proportion of the roman population who where Christians at the time.. Those who join with that kind of this world played the harlot with the roman empire and the catholic religion and down through history we have seen the fruit produced.. inqusitons, burnings at the stake, crusades, progroms, sexual molestation of children and more.. To even think thats such an abomination is the church of Christ is morally repugnant to me..

Belief is NOT a WORK.. The Bible clearly separates Faith from Works.. We are saved by Believing and trusting in the Gospel way of salvation.. No one is saved by the Atonement of God without first believing in it and trusting in it 100%.. The Gospel is a very simple thing to hear and believe in.. And i am not here to debate someone else's position on salvation.. I give what i believe.. So yeah as i said in my earlier post there are a lot of false doctrines in different churches.. Jesus being the Archangel Michael is one of those false doctrines.. And Jesus Himself said that Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit would never be forgiven in this world or the next so yes there is a sin that can never be forgiven.. All the rest are forgivable they are correct in that one..

Again i encourage you to READ THE BIBLE and believe and trust in the atonement of Jesus to save you.. You simply changing from being a follower of Pastors to become a follower of Popes will ensure nothing for you in eternity.. Become a follower of the LORD Jesus Christ and forsake all others.. That will see you saved.. Stop following Men..

Lol no, that can be so easily disproven by the many early Christian writers before Constantine that were Catholic in their belief and by name. But go for it, I’d love to see this proof you have.

Well until you get your own house in order, you don’t have any room to criticize me or my faith. Y’all are the most arrogant and hateful people towards people that disagree with you. The scorn I see towards Catholics on here is disgusting from people that are supposedly Christians. I have read the Bible and I don’t need your fallible 21st century interpretation of it to understand what it says.

I hate false religions leading people to hell.. And you are being lead to hell by the roman catholic religion.. Again you are the one who is saying that hating a religion is the same as hating people.. It is NOT and your false allegation is just a vain attempt to throw mud on someone who does not agree with the roman catholic religion..

Since you have read the Bible and still decided to join with the harlot church of Rome then you are responsible for your own eternal outcome.. No further need to witness to you.. End of discussion..
