I hate false religions leading people to hell.. And you are being lead to hell by the roman catholic religion.. Again you are the one who is saying that hating a religion is the same as hating people.. It is NOT and your false allegation is just a vain attempt to throw mud on someone who does not agree with the roman catholic religion..

Since you have read the Bible and still decided to join with the harlot church of Rome then you are responsible for your own eternal outcome.. No further need to witness to you.. End of discussion..
Dude your the one believing in a 16th century (or later) version of Christianity that can’t be found nowhere in early Christianity. No Sola scriptura, Sola Fide, eternal security, nothing. I can clearly find my faith dating back to the 1st century. Your claims about being right have no logical basis. You all just say “that’s what the Bible says!”, then you have no way to back any of it up if someone disagrees. It’s ridiculous.

Well until you get your own house in order, you don’t have any room to criticize me or my faith. Y’all are the most arrogant and hateful people towards people that disagree with you. The scorn I see towards Catholics on here is disgusting from people that are supposedly Christians. I have read the Bible and I don’t need your fallible 21st century interpretation of it to understand what it says.
I have noticed this also. It makes me think that maybe the Catholics are right.

Brother I was a Southern Baptist for almost 30 years before I became Catholic. I grew up being taught Catholics were evil and fake Christianity. Then when I finally read what they actually believed and saw I could trace distinct Catholic beliefs all the way through history to the 1st century...I was floored. I found no evidence of my Protestant faith in the writings of the earliest Christians.

Despite the hostility of Protestants towards Catholics today, Catholics still believe Protestants are Christians and our brothers in Christ. You won’t find that sentiment here among most of these posters.

Dude, you can claim to be a Bible believing Christian all you want. You all believe something different about the Bible. All y’all do is contradict each other. This forum is a perfect example.

I just had a eternal security believer tell me that new believers in God can’t be saved unless the come to a very specific understanding of the Bible and pledge to believe that first. Not by grace, you have to put in that work or you’re not saved. There’s another group on here that are strict Sola scriptura adherents that believe Jesus is the Archangel Michael. Then there are those on here that think no sin whatsoever will ever send you to hell, no need to repent for anything.

That’s Protestantism, believe anything you want because there is no one that has a right to tell you you’re wrong. No thanks.
So, pray tell, why has no one reported the users for this heresy? I see tons or reports from users whining that someone was being a meanie head, but rarely do I see reports of heresy and the ones that I do see often the reported post isn't blatant

Go check out the 100% grace thread and the Daniel thread in the Bible discussion forum if you want to read it.

You're right, it is Protestantism. But it doesn't have to be either/or. You can be a Bible-believing Christian and not identify as Protestant. Protestantism is a mess, but so is Catholicism. They're both off the mark.

Aside from the obvious doctrine differences, the biggest separation between post reformation Christian denominations and Catholicism is uniformity. For a Catholic, it’s all out there in black and white. There is a clear standard of what is and isn’t believed around all central issues.

For post reformation Christians, anything goes even among church’s in the same denomination. My southern Baptist church growing up was not very Calvinist but the one right down the road was very Calvinist.

I agree. There are way too many denominations all divided on relatively minor differences.

As far as Catholicism being black and white, I can understand how it can simplify things. However, things aren't always black and white. There's a principle running throughout the New Testament: Each person has the liberty to decide for him or herself; it's between them and God, as the Spirit leads.

"Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."—2 Corinthians 9:7

"One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind."—Romans 14:15

"Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."—Philippians 2:12

These are few examples of scriptures that illustrate what I'm talking about.

Not everyone's alike. Unfortunately, Protestant denominations have decided that anyone who doesn't agree with their particular interpretation must be disfellowshipped. Catholicism on the other hand is basically just another Christian sect that says you must fall in line with us.

You seem to have a level headed view of things, which is refreshing to read. The view of what the Church is and it’s role, varies significantly between Catholics and Protestants as well. It’s one of the reasons there is so much animosity from Protestants towards Catholics. They don’t believe it has the authority that Catholics believe it does.
