who is censoring you?
*shrug*
it's the right of the majority of voting Americans to affirm that the president is in fact the president too.
you're not "more patriotic" as a citizen by refusing to recognize the duly elected government or "better off" by spending your energy libeling him.
it's better for your anxiety level and overall health if you just deal with it. that's all. he's got another year.
just think how much better off the country might have been at this point if the GOP had actually worked toward the good of the country for the last 7 years instead of wasting all their time, effort, and energies propagandizing the public, stirring up anti-administration hatred, grandstanding and putting on political theater.
might the economy have improved even more rapidly if congress had acted on job creation instead of wasting taxpayer dollars on 50+ repeal health-care-reform attempts? how much better would America's credit rating be if the Tea Party hadn't held the economy hostage so many times? what reforms and public works programs could have been passed if congress had actually showed up for work? how many deadbeat congressman would be out of office now instead of re-elected if the public had paid attention to the people they were voting for instead of red v. blue?
how much good could you do if you didn't waste your time building up hate in your heart for a man that the majority of Americans elected, twice?
i'm not censoring you. i'm trying to talk sense into you.
1. You are accusing someone of having "hate" in their heart... a moral and spiritual condition... because they don't like a president that YOU happen to like????
That is REALLY going too far.
2. You were previously telling her to "get over it"... and essentially shut up about her political views.
That is REALLY going too far.
America is a democratic republic that allows free speech FOR ALL.
Furthermore, it is every American's RESPONSIBILITY to voice dissent, and concern, with ALL elected officials... this protects the republic by insuring that
A) ALL issues are addressed and discussed publicly,
B) ALL opposition opinions have a voice
C) ALL officials are held accountable for their actions
D) ALL Americans have a voice in public opinion and politics
E) ALL Americans at least have an avenue with which to call for, and expect transparency.
NOBODY, on ANY SIDE, of ANY ISSUE, needs to back off, or shut up.
WE, in THIS FORUM... need to respect each other's rights to voice opinion.
WE, in THIS FORUM... should ENCOURAGE each other to speak freely, and speak our minds... even when we disagree.
I do not care WHAT people argue about in the News Forum.
But we should ENCOURAGE each other to speak our minds, and speak freely.
You are not going to go unchallenged if you try to browbeat someone into silence.
That's just wrong.
Say you love Obama, say you hate Obama... whatever... but everyone has a right, and a RESPONSIBILITY to speak out.
