I'd have nothing against anything Jenkins says if the so-called Christian content he says the show delivers was actually Christian. He says it's a show about Christ so that makes the content Christian; but that's incorrect. How about The Last Temptation of Christ? That was a movie about Christ. Does anyone think its content was Christian?
I watched the Last Temptation of Christ. I know now it is full of heresies.

But the fact remains that it was one of the reasons I started reading Scripture seriously.
So the Lord can use all sorts of things to draw someone to the Word, followed by Him.

I suspect The Chosen will do much the same thing for others. And it so far, is nowhere near the heresy of The Last Temptation.

1) Why do you think Paul was upset?

2) The slave girl is telling all the people around Paul that Paul and his men are servants of the Most High God and are point the way to the Lord to be saved. What is wrong with that?

3) After many days, Paul cast the spirit - who was prompting the girl to say all these things - out of the slave girl. Why did he do that?

4) Do you think he was wrong to do that or not?
Wouldn't mind hearing your thoughts on these questions.

I understand your point, however, it is interesting the Muslim faith continues to grow and they do not make a single movie.

How little people care when they make grossly erroneous statements based on their mistaken opinion.
Whatever, you just look for places to point out things as per usual and then be able to tell the person they are bearing false witness

These movies have fatwa against them, my point was that they do not need to make movies to promote their prophet and grow their adherents.

Sometimes people paraphrase like @bdavidc or they are making a larger point.

I am glad you have your two gotcha moments.

And here you are with yours, caring so little about being wrong you
attack the person instead of correcting yourself on the issue.

Muslims make a lot of movies despite your claim to the contrary.

In second Corinthians chapter 11 verse 14 it states:
“No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light”

Shared using AndBible: Bible Study. (https://andbible.github.io)

I believe that the man of perdition, or man of sin, will not totally abolish religious Christianity. Rather he will infiltrate it and lead many who call themselves Christians a stray just like Hitler did. Many may still follow him even after he declares himself to be God. The same devil that will be behind the man of sin is already at work in the world today and has been since Eden. This is why we need to arm ourselves with scripture and follow Romans 12:2. Only by knowing the real Christ will we be able to spot the counterfeits.

View attachment 251924 Simply do a search for the key words"the Chosen pride flag" and you'll find a whole lot about this.

They have also gone from being privately crowd funded to teaming up with Lionsgate.
Do you honestly think that the gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified, overcoming death, hell and the grave by His blood will ever be rightly portrayed in this production?

I don't.

To those who claim to follow Christ and love this show:
Are you still a fan?
I did some research still not a fan.
Typically if entertainment proclaims to be "Christian" it usually is a huge pretense. It seems like Mormons are looking to be accepted into evangelical circles I suspect this a huge reason for this series.

Ecumenism is definitely part of it. But it seems to me it's all part of a growing darkness that's coming over the body Christ and is disguised as an angel of light.

Yes I think I agree, sometimes you want to like something but just cannot. Someone on a video stated it is a big "co-exist" sticker and I think this is true and being revealed slowly but surely.

Mormon want to be accepted as main stream Christian, while targeting christians in their proselytizing mission.

Now I don't want to say it isn't right, and I have never seen the show, but I have seen many things over the years portrayed as things they really aren't, through a photo, video clip, or a quote out of context. And let's face it, these days anything, even a video, can be edited to look or sound like anything you want it to. So I am going to ask is this image all we have to say the show supports PRIDE? If so, then it isn't much to go on.

I would have thought a little flag like that, if it is not a doctored image, was probably personal property of a crew member on their kit, that n one was allowed to challenge because of the equality act or something, rather than a statement about the beliefs of the cast or producer themselves. I think if it were anything to do with the producer, making a point it would be a to more obvious.

Judge the show for the show. That said: if we start seeing gay pride flags all throughout the production equipment, that's a warning to take seriously. As it stands, I don't watch The Chosen because it takes way too many liberties with Scripture and the Gospel accounts. I stopped watching after it started veering off, so I'm not familiar with whatever else they did.

7...Minutes into this video, he brings up one important issue everyone should consider.
After that comment praising Ravi Zacharias, the script has the fake Jesus actor quote the Book of Moron. "I am the law of Moses!"
That demonstrates right there that this series reflects the Mormon anti christ rather than the true Jesus Christ.

I checked the doctrinal statement of this guy's church and the point I want to point out is this quote.

"Salvation
Jesus Christ’s death on the cross was the sole and complete payment for sins, fully satisfying God’s righteous wrath, for each person that turns from sin in repentance.... Genuine faith continues in obedience and love for Jesus Christ with a life eager to glorify God and persevere to the end."

These make the works of each sinner as the means of salvation. It also makes works, "obedience, love, eager life, perseverance to the end," as their proof of those who have their works plan of damnation. Thus they front load their dogma with the Book of Mormon repentance of turning from sin, and backload the rest of the burden on the sinner with those mentioned in my previous sentence.

Why is it that I'm not surprised that an "evangelical" yoking together with a cult of Mormons is an unbeliever himself?

Is that a typo, or not?

I take it that the obedience and love described in the above is implied to be done in the Holy Spirit? That's why I don't always assume that a church believes in a works gospel if they don't spell it out. How does your church word it?
