Paul praised the women in service in the church as what we'd today call pastors. So Paul had no problem with women in offices in the church.

The OP is foolish. And quite frankly not to be taken seriously imo.

God insured women would carry forth the human race as life givers.
The OP has no respect for women while owing his life to one.
The events of the Bible take place in the Middle East where even to this day women are still basically property.
Personally I feel like who cares what Paul says because Paul is God and never actually met Jesus

I care what Paul says, but I understand what you are saying because I don't care what you say.

Don't cut yourself on all that edge over there.
But my point still remains. I feel like a lot of Christians are actually Paulians. And before anyone straw man's me I'm not claiming that all Christians are misogynistic but a lot of people use the writings of fall to justify their misogyny

So people twist the scriptures to their own destruction as Peter says. Why would they do that? Bannon has an expression that when this happens it proves you are over the target. So your response to getting push back is to turn tail and run. Got it.

Who's running? I am right here still defending my position.
I still argue that Paul contradicts himself and a lot of the stuff he says make zero sense like when he basically said the only reason to get married is to have sex

You were just whining that people twist Paul's word so therefore you don't care what Paul says.

Yeah because as I mentioned earlier, Paul contradicts himself and says stuff that doesn't make any sense
Also last time I checked, Paul is not God

So don't believe Paul because he never met Jesus in the flesh, but we should believe you? Did you meet Jesus in the flesh? What about Peter, he tells us to believe Paul because his word is part of the scriptures. Should we believe Peter, he met Jesus in the flesh?

Meeting Jesus in the flesh

This is tangential to this thread but since Dude has made it an issue let's address it. Yes it was special to have met Jesus in the flesh, to have walked with Him and to have seen firsthand the things talked about in the Bible. That was very special.

However, today is also a very special time. Jesus was the incarnate word of God. We have more access to the word of God today than they did at the time of the Apostles. For all of the apostles they lived before the entire revelation of the Bible was written. Most of them died before the book of Revelation was written. Not only so but they didn't have the tools we have today with concordance, and internet and the Blue letter Bible. You can search the scriptures far easier, faster and more effectively than they ever could. I can quickly find a word, what Bible verses it appears in, what is the first mention, etc.

Remember what Jesus told Thomas, we are blessed. It is blessed to believe without requiring that we see Jesus in the flesh.

Ooooh .. you caught me in a typo. That invalidates my whole argument.🙄

He's basically arguing for the Christian version of sharia.
Eeegads! They must not know Sharia extends to commerce ruling too, i.e Sharia banking.

Or maybe they're into Old Testament laws and enforcement?

A lot of his writings he prefaces by saying that he speaks as a man and not God.

Yeah that's kind of my point. There are times when he specifically says he is just stating his own personal opinion

It is no longer his personal opinion, it is part of the New Testament and part of the fellowship of the apostles and part of our covenant with God. As a result it is now not simply Paul's opinion but also the word of God.

You really ought not say that.
Yeah the Damascus thing but he never actually hung out with Jesus every day like the disciples did
I guess technically that's meeting Jesus but he never actually physically met Jesus or actually sat down and had a conversation with him

The point is that you never met Jesus in the flesh so it is absurd to listen to you over Paul and if you require that someone have seen Jesus in the flesh you are no different than doubting Thomas.

I'm not going around telling women they can't speak and then later contradicting myself and saying there is no male or female in the body of Christ

Despite not meeting your criteria, Paul understood Jesus better than most
of the disciples who physically walked and talked with Jesus for three years.

Fair enough, when you appear before the judgement seat your claim is that you were better than Paul. I certainly wouldn't want to defend you, sounds more like a job for Korah.
