You've got that backwards.

If consumers don't have money to buy products, rich people won't hire anyone to make them. Outside of the defense industry, when has any rich man hired anyone to make products that don't sell?

Demand precedes supply. Supply does not create demand.
Ricky Ricky Ricky......here's the thing.....it takes money to make money. It's sort of just the sad reality of life. If you have an invention and don't have the money backing you...you'll be lucky to have a "WAIT THERE'S MORE" commercial on late night tv selling your chia pet. Lol

If corporations took the trillions of dollars they have parked off-shore, and put that money into their employee's pockets, what would happen?

A buying spree that would enrich everyone and eliminate the national debt!

Hording cash stifles the economy.

And a big supply of lawyers creates a big demand for more lawyers:p.
And isn't it great that we now have an incoming President with a business degree vs a law degree? I think so.

What happened to a rising tide lifts all boats?

It became a rising tide lifts 1% of the boats and swamps all the rest.

Why are people hiding their money offshore Ricky? It's because we have been overrun by environmentalist's and ideologues who wouldn't know how to run a lemonade stand and make money if they had free cups and free old fashioned lemonade mix. They'd pay more for the water than they'd sell their product for.

No, that act of parking money offshore can be summed up in one word: Greed.

Human greed is the Achilles tendon of capitalism.

Yeah. I sure hope so. But surrounding the henhouse with wolves just ain't gonna do that
Ya...we need to fill the govt with people who have no real world experience.....kinda like Obama and Hillary....who never created a job or had one for that matter in their entire lives.

And don't get me wrong. If Hillary had won (oh wait, she did) I'd be riding her just as hard.

'Cause she's just as rotten.

Maybe there is some greed that factors in....but do you honestly think that they just wanna throw away all their profit making potential just to make you a poor slave who can't afford to buy their product? That's kinda weird....and self defeating.

Well, we're really mixing about 3 different concepts into 1 comment.

We need to parse it out a bit.

Supply and Demand actually interact in a lot of very curious ways.
I doubt there was a demand for "pet rocks" before someone INVENTED them.
So it isn't always so simple.
But below is a typical business development model.

Typical Business Development Model

1. Someone who wants to make money checks the market place for a "demand".
2. The person who wants to make money then DEVELOPS, MARKETS, & DISTRIBUTES the product.
3. The consumer, only then, can BUY.

* Clearly, in the above model, which is entirely typical... ALL INITIATION is done by the "entrepreneur".

* The entrepreneur may be rich or poor... but nonetheless, the business cycle starts with the entrepreneur.

It sure is... as evidenced by the fact that the average working stiff hasn't had an effective raise since the 1980's.

CEO's, on the other hand...

I guess it's possible to create a demand for just about anything.

You know why that is Ricky....let's just break this down for you. OUR GOVT HAS BEEN OVERUN BY PEOPLE WHO ONLY KNOW HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS OR GOVT ON PAPER. OUR LOWER AND HIGHER EDUCATION HAVE BEEN OVERRUN BY COMMUNIST MARXIST IDEALOGUES WHO DON'T HAVE A CLUE ABOUT ANYTHING EXCEPT STEALING FROM YOU BY GUILTING AND MANIPULATING YOU INTO THINKING THAT YOU ARE A RACIST OR A XENOPHOBE...OR THAT YOU HATE THE ENVRIRONMENT OR X FRICKING Y Z .. SO THEY CAN LIVE IN THIER LUXARY AND ACCOLADES WHILE YOU SUFFER AND PAY MORE AND MORE FOR THEM TO BE INEPT IDIOTS WITH YOUR MONEY.

Ricky....Donald Trump will be the best thing that has happened to America in a long time...if...and only if...the great unwashed support him in helping us be great again. Because...he will fire and expose those "managers" who are inept with YOUR money. Pull your head out friend.
