And an unattractive, anti-American, anti-Christian, cigarette smoking, metrosexual, homosexual, islamic communist at that. Did I mention he's a treason punk?
Not quite sure what all you just said, but no matter what you may think of Obama is that God loves him and for that we must love him too just don't have to agree with him...and quite frankly I'm glad you don't find him attractive we would all be a bit worried lol

Let it gooo... Let it gooo...

reading a few comments there is one conversation I'd like to approach about Trickle Down economics.
It only works in a truly Free Market Capitalist economy. when those "dogs" want to keep all 10 "bones", the other "dogs" keep them in check. The weakness of a Free Market Capitalist economy is Laziness, irresponsibility, and Lack of entrepeneurial spirit from the majority or the whole population.
And that introduces Crony Capitalism which introduced Socialism which will introduce Communism.

I've never understood the whole free market economy = no compassion thing. Are other economic systems really any more compassionate?

It's 3:00AM and you mentioned economics systems. My brain answered accordingly. I should sleep.

Sing it, brother.

Imagine the long, acrimonious argument that would've gone on for pages and pages. That said, it would be in perfect keeping with the spirit of the OP.
People are changing after debating here (News Forum) for some period of time. Some for the better, some for the worse. I know I have changed for the worse. Yet, there are people, where you after debating them for some time wouldn't think would change. Whenever they do, it's surprising, and as for you, disappointing. I may be stupid, but for some reason I thought you were above all this bickering and name calling business.

I've made it very clear that my quarrel is not with you, but the monstrosity that is this thread. I'm disappointed because the whole spirit of this thing is beneath you and that you responded by saying you're tired elevating your argument.

I understand where this thread comes from- probably a deeply personal place. Which probably makes it rather difficult for you to understand that this is not a merciless pounding of you personally. I have not so far nor will I ever call you names or indicate your value as a person and a Christian is any less than any other poster on this forum. Calling out salvation or questioning motives is not a game I play.

It is, however, a merciless pounding of a thread that started as contemptuous rant devoid of reason or any real discussion point. If I were a mod, I would have stricken this one from the news subforum by page 2 for the good of the site and the poster.

Remember that great Christian maxim, kiddos- Hate the post, not the poster.

Or as our friends in the urban areas say- blame the game, not the playa.

With that, I sleep.

Mr Desdichado, your take on the thread is your personal view on it. As goes for your assertion that it was a contemptuous rant devoid of reason. There's a lot conservatives that agree with what I wrote.

Please don't resort to acting like an amateur psychologist, it doesn't look good on your part:p.

I don't want to argue, but instead of using language like in your response, why don't you just disagree, plain and simple? Why this urge to add highly charged rhetoric to the debate?:).

As I said, I know I sometimes can be quite a bee etch, so you might could be right:p.

Are we good?

Jennymae, my job is nearly the epitome of CC with all the drama, negativity, and downright hateful attitudes by people that assume they know you better than you know yourself which is nonsense. Yes, by being in that environment is not healthy and drains me of all my energy...however the only person you can change is yourself. Sure, we all have disagreements but what we do with them that matters. Should we dish it right back? Or should we let the matters go? There are times where we should do one and not the other, but do what I do I take a walk and count to ten before coming back so you come back with a fresh perspective. Just remember a lot of people are edgy because they aren't sure what is going to happen politically now the we have Trump as the President elect. Just don't allow others dictate how you feel and maybe try going about it a different way.

For the record I'm not preaching at you nor am I intending to make you feel bad, but you genuinely are a nice person that I would hate to see what others think or say change you

So the take-away from all this is that, in a true free market capitalist society, everyone should be a successful entrepreneur and/or corporate executive, and if God didn't give you the skill set to pull that off you deserve to be sick and live under a bridge.

Hokay, good to know...

Sheesh. Jesus must be rolling over in His grave.

So then Shotgunner's treatise on Jesus' capitalist ways must be true-

Jesus has a caravan travel for two years to deliver wealth to him. Jesus had a garment valuable enough to be gambled for. Jesus had a house, I don't know how big. Jesus had a full time staff of 12 and a treasurer. Evidently he had enough cash on hand that Judas could steal without it being noticed.

My, my. A fine straw man you have there. Nobody on this thread and even some of the most staunch libertarian economists (who I do not fully agree with) would never make this sort of argument.

Quote somebody. I challenge you.
