The sooner that Roy Moore resigns, the better it is for the GOP. Regardless of whether he is guilty or not, he is the fuel that the msm needs to drag every democrat to the polls, and the candidate that will encourage a large number of republicans to either sit the election out, or write in someone else. He is a net gain in the senate for the democrats.

True, but this can be a big victory for God as well....yes it will drag the democrats out, BUT it will also strengthen the resolve of the hard working, conservative Christian voters who know this is all a farce and attempt to smear an honorable and in my opinion righteous man, to have him put into office. Think about it, it wouldn't just be a victory for the conservatives, but it would be such a huge victory for our Lord.

If it was just one woman accusing Moore, I would give him the benefit of the doubt but there are now 6. What if it wasn't Moore? What if it was an outspoken, conservative-hating, trump-hating democrat? Would you still think he was innocent?
It's just as easy to buy 6 women as it is 1.... in fact, it's probably easier.

The fact that the statute of limitations has run out ensures that these "accusers" will never have to show any proof at all. They could accuse him of bestiality without having to prove a single thing, since it will never be brought before a judge.

They get paid a handsome sum, and get their 15 minutes of fame, and the leftists get rid of a "Bible thumper" who cannot be bought by them.

I did not say I think he is innocent. I just do not know. He may be guilty, and if proven, he should go to jail.
My point is that it seems strange to me that these women waited 20 years until he was about to be elected to the Senate.
He has been in public life for 40 years and has been in many elections.
I just don't want this to become the way elections are decided. Accuse your opponent of sexual misconduct and you win.

There's only one problem with this. We are talking about Alabama. And they have decided in that state that there is not a thing wrong with hitting on a girl of 16. The officer's personal bias on age and the other girls having known him is not the least bit showing anything wrong. You and I may not like it, but it was not illegal.

Nor would be hitting on a 14 year-old girl who we all know was probably tickled pink to pretend she was 16. No 14 year-old I ever knew (male or female) would admit to their age if someone thought they were 16. In fact, most would lie about their age if they thought they could get away with it. And you know that is a stone fact.
You forget in Alabama, if a grown man hits on a 16 year old girl and she tells her Daddy, uncles, and Grandaddy, he better get ready to get his behind beat. This is a fact.

Man if only there were places on the internet that explain why women don't report sexual abuse and harassment. If only the bare minimum of effort would help provide answers.

That's a nice "what if", but we are talking about what the voters in Alabama have desired to be legal.

Sadly, that is the kind of game politics has become.

I think Moore is probably guilty. Why would a grown man in his thirties coach his teen age sister’s softball team? That seems weird and skeevy. Why did they wait 20 years? Because Roy is a “big wheel” in Alabama, particularly in his home town and county. Saint Roy can do no wrong. No one would believe them, so they tell the national news when Roy is about to hit the national stage.

I have never voted for him. He is a grandstander and put himself above the law. I don’t care if the laws are repugnant, jurists are NOT to legislate from the bench. We abhor legislation from the bench when leftists do this- and rightly so. Why do we think it is alright when a Conservative does it?

There are many people in Alabama who do not like Moore. Moore tried several times to get elected as governor and failed. I liked Strange just fine until he got his hands dirty playing around with Bentley. I abstained from voting in the primary as I was disgusted by Strange and Moore.

I am a Christian and a Conservative. I will not vote for Moore.

What does all my rambling have to do with his penchant for little girls when he was in his thirties?

Moore puts himself above the law repeatedly, I would not be surprised that he thought it was perfectly fine to date little girls.

It’s not a “what if”. I know cases of this kind of thing happening. Get real, most of the voters in Alabama do not smile upon skeevy grown men going after minor children.

I do not live in Al., but if I did, I would not vote for him.

Where were the parents of these teens that he dated?

"Most" of the voters obviously approve of it, or else it would not be a standing law in that state.

Roy came back as “the local boy who made good”. He was a lawyer, educated, going places. They probably thought he was a good catch. One 16 year old girl said her mom told her he was a good catch. She said her mom knew they were dating, but did not know that he gave her wine on their dinner dates (which is against Alabama law- contributing to the delinquency of a minor). She said they did no more than kiss. The 14 year old girl said her mom did not know what was going on, and this is the one that he touched.

Not to be rude, but reading between the lines, the 14 year old girl sounded like she was from the wrong side of the tracks. Roy was a pillar of the community. Who would believe her over him?

I am just totally disgusted. I would vote for Jones if he does not believe in abortion.

You don’t know how legislation in Alabama works. Every time a law is changed, the state constitution must be changed. It is a long and painful ordeal to get the state constitution amended. In a way, this is good, as the population of the state has to vote on every ammendment. But it is an exceedingly slow process.

I can assure you that most people in Alabama do not think grown men should date teen girls.

I know about that good ole boy thing. I was born in Miss. Lived on the wrong side of the tracks. Was called white trash by those good folks. Left when I was 16 and have not set foot in that state since.

The article sounded legitimate to me. He might have been trawling the malls looking for a young girl to date. He probably wanted to marry a young girl he could mold into being the perfect Christian wife. He ended up marrying a woman who was 24 when he was 38. Not a horrible age gap, at all. He should have been dating women in their twenties all along.

I don’t like him. I think he thinks he can do as he likes. A little potentate. I was rather shocked he won the primary. Strange should have won it handily, but he ruined his chances by being appointed by the Luv Guv whom Strange was supposed to be investigating. It is all just sickening.

Unless we choose to try and bury our heads in the sand, pretending reality doesn't exist, it really doesn't matter what we like or dislike... if the voters of a certain state or district do want something in THEIR hometowns, and have already spoken with their ballots.

Just wondering where you are getting these stories from? I live in Bama, and have not seen a single thing reported about the things you are posting here. Would like to see the Source of these revelations please.

Wait...........WHUT?

Lived in Bama for most of my life. Never heard of this, nor has anyone I know. Laws are changed, amended quite often here in Bama, and none of those changes/amendments ever required a change to the State Constitution.
