This is not our first rodeo. They had to make a vaccine for the Polio virus back in the early 50's.
My dad served as a doctor in the army in Germany right after the war and he mostly had to deal with German Measles. There were some serious virus after WW2 and a lot of people are alive today because they developed a vaccine program. My guess is that at least 20% of the people are alive today because of their efforts back then. Now people want to be critical of the vaccines that have done so much to help so many people. The vaccine helps the population. Like a face mask you wear not to protect yourself so much as to protect others. Even if two or three percent have complications. That is nothing compared to the 20% that would die and the people that do die in areas that do not vaccinate.
