Ok. I think I understand much of what you mean. However, you say,

"If the relief is removed, the people would be forced to survive off of the natural resources of Alaska (wildlife, vegetation, wood for shelter/fire, clean water) which most do anyway ON TOP of the government assistance haha"

But you also say 'they have been separated from their cultural heritage'.

As for me, I do have a touch of Celtic blood in me but the bulk of my ancestry is Sefardic.

Hopefully, all those good people up in the Northlands will be well.
Well when I say survive (in reference to what's happening now) I mean a very cushy survival from their houses compared to what skills/resources would be needed to survive from scratch. Anything you know about surviving in the wilderness of the lower 48 states are totally thrown out the window. A whole new set of rules apply as there are literally thousands of things that will kill you (things most people have never even heard of, even dudes who are into survival in the lower 48) you based on the slightest miscalculation. If you have ever seen "Into the Wild", it gives a very brief idea.

So yeah, the newer generations of Native Americans know how to survive as Americans, but many would die if made to leave the city and enter the wild.

People have this romantic notion of surviving in the wild but it ain't so simple. Just as as example, during the great depression, there was nary a squirrel to be found for lunch.

This is the exact reason why people are afraid to voice their support of Trump. Because they are afraid of being called stupid. It happens on every college campus...but people are getting less and less afraid and more and more, eyes are being opened. Get used to two words..... President Trump.

you don't have to be afraid to voice your opinion you can support who ever you like :). I am not afraid to support the person I will vote for . And it is not Hilary I can tell you that.

Thats cool. I'll bet you guys made some good memories doing that. My boy is 9 and I think I'm gonna get him a 22 for his tenth birthday. I love being in the Mtns with my rifle slung over my shoulder trudging thru the snow on a frosty November morning. No place like it in the world.

It's not that I'm afraid. I was more speaking to the idea that the left has so hijacked the language with terms like racist and whatnot that good people keep their mouths shut for fear of being labeled as something like that.

I don't fully understand racism. It seems to me that both liberals and conservatives act in ways that today people would call racist. Where do wealthy liberals and wealthy conservatives live? As far away from black neighborhoods as possible. They will tell you it is not racist to view crime statistics and move to the safest neighborhood they can find. I would agree. We sold our home a few days ago and are moving ten miles away. The only reason we are moving is because this neighborhood is not safe. Three murders in the last year and several other shootings, along with a steady flow of drug addicts wandering through the neighborhood during the night. All the murders involved black victims and black suspects. A stabbing death involved two Hispanic men. From what I can see, white men and women make up the majority of the heroin addicts. When I watch the morning news, and they open with the overnight violent crime updates, it seems that in the two years we lived here, Hispanics are suspects in 40% of violent crimes, blacks are suspects in 40% of violent crimes, and whites are suspects in 20% of violent crimes. In addition, over 90% of violent crimes are committed in poor neighborhoods. Based only on those statistics, we purchased a new home in the suburbs that has HOA fees, homes costing over $115k more than the home we sold, few, if any violent crimes in the last two years, and coincidentally, no poor people, no transients, fewer heroin addicts, and much less racial diversity. If living in this safe neighborhood makes me a racist, I'm ok with that. If that is how we are defining racist, then maybe I am one because I made a decision to move myself and my wife base on crime statistics that included race as a factor.

It seems that Donald Trump is pushing similar buttons by even discussing his wall and deporting illegal immigrants that are primarily from Mexico and Central America. Liberals are saying it is racist to deport illegal immigrants from Mexico and Central America because to do so means you are out looking primarily for people who look like they are from Mexico and Central America. Meaning you are profiling, which somehow is no longer intelligent common sense policing, but rather racist. So if you are looking for illegal immigrants coming from Mexico, you are required to look at equal numbers of whites and blacks and Hispanics and Asians during the course of your investigations. You can't just do a sweep in a neighborhood known for housing illegal immigrants because all of those illegal immigrants will be from Mexico. You should have spent equal time in the suburbs, stopping wealthy white people and asking them for proof of citizenship, if you want to be fair. Otherwise you are a racist, according to current standards. My question is; aren't all of us racists by current standards?

American voters will choose between two of the most loathed
presidential candidates in the nation’s history.

The factor that determines the next president
will likely be which one voters hate less.

one article headline reads

I Am Going To Vote For Trump Though It Makes Me Want To Projectile Vomit

In the Wall Street Journal, former Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal explained his plan
to vote for Mr. Trump as “the second-worst thing we could do this November.”

the lesser of two evils?

bottom line:God will put in charge whoever He sees fit we deserve,

Lord help us.

That's one of the GOP's major problems. The Democrats has been good on making the GOP look like a white supremacy party. As for Donald, he's now a part of that impression. It is unfair, but thats the truth.

I don't fully understand racism.
President Obama’s Vast New Anti-Racism Database

The New York Post called it the “largest consolidation of personal data in U.S. history.”
Obama collecting personal data for a secret race database | New York Post

July 18-Report: Obama Setting Up Secret 'Racial Database'
Report: Obama Setting Up Secret 'Racial Database'

Target: Credit Card Companies
The new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is providing everyone’s credit card
accounts categorized by race to the government

Target: Banks

Under Consumer Financial Protection Bureau guidelines, big banks have to report
the race of their employees and all job applicants

Target: Schools and Colleges
It is collecting data on every student in America based on race

Target: Police and Correctional System

the White House has promoted the concept of “unconscious racism” and “unconscious bias.”
This is the idea that police, teachers—white people in general—are racist in their actions,
but not knowingly so. It is similar to the idea that white people can’t fully understand what
racism is because they have never experienced it.

Why It's So Hard to Talk to White People About Racism

Trump is even getting more Latino support. The critics continue to misjudge and miscalculate his staying power. And I like that he has put freedom of speech back in vogue.

Opinion: Big data reports Latino support for Trump on the rise at 37% | Fox News Latino
I agree with part of the article...

He has activated a sentiment in people that appeals to the raw emotion of Washington frustration
However, I have also viewed polls showing 82% of Hispanics view Trump unfavorably. Trying to spin this by discussing the percentage of GOP registered Hispanics who support him is deceiving. Saying his support among Hispanics is increasing is also deceptive, as it had no place else to go. Boasting he may get more Hispanic votes than Romney is setting the bar quite low.

What I'm seeing is how many are comparing Trump to Hillary and drawing various conclusions, without discussing the Bernie Sanders phenomenon. Even more so than Trump, Sanders has activated a sentiment among liberals that Republicans are not fully appreciating. They believe Hillary is not liberal or progressive enough. They want socialism and they are not ashamed to say it. If Bernie had begun his campaign earlier and had attacked Hillary on her negatives, he could very well have won the nomination. Polls show he would easily dispatch Trump, head to head. This creates a lot of possibilities for the coming elections. What if Hillary invites Bernie to be her VP? What if she was impeached, or could no longer serve as President? Regardless, the DNC watched as Sanders went from 50 points down on Clinton to catching her in most states. They understand their constituents are just as angry about Washington as the people who are supporting Trump. In future elections, Democrats will move far left. Maybe as soon as mid-terms 2018. They will appoint judges that will make current liberal judges seem middle of the road. In the next ten years, we will marvel at how quickly it all unraveled for conservatives and Christians. Republicans will be of no consequence in national politics. Super majorities will be the norm. Progressive agendas will sweep the country and red states will disappear. Makes me want to go join Spherical in his underground bunker. Maybe not.
