Thank you for calling me, (68 year old), young. I have also been known to stir a pot or two in my adult kitchen life.
I wasn't addressing you in my remark about too young to vote.
It seems you believe you met the criteria I was describing when speaking to ZNP.

That isn't my responsibility.

It has been my experience those who charge Trump supporters as worshipers of Trump, and there are both both Republicans and Democrats that support Trump, mean only to insult those supporters.
When Christians claim that we worship Trump, being as we worship Christ, that's really sad.

Trump wasn't perfect. Of course. However, all those smooth talking politicians that came before, Democrat and Republican, smiled as they took this country down a very dark path.

Outsourcing, therein negatively impacting our national GNP, therein impacting local communities and families security due to local business and industry shutdowns. Clinton giving China most favored nation trade status, rights, very shortly after their student protests. And that Outsourcing allowing for tax credits for putting families at risk and workers out of a job. Obama signing the NDAA into law. The USPA, etc...

The list of, ''are you SERIOUS?! ", is long. And written by those on both sides of the aisle.

Sure, Trump wasn't always well spoken. However, he is my brother in Christ.
Who he was before accepting Jesus is no longer an issue. God remembers his sins no more and I will not hold against Donald what my father forgave and forgets.

The scurrilous charges made against him by his detractors do not make for truth.

The women, for example, who claimed he abused them were not to be believed. One woman stole lyrics from a classic rock song and used those as a description of what DT supposedly did to her on a commercial flight.
Hard to picture President Trump flying commercial, ever.

HRC said women are to be heard and believed in such cases. She who when her husband, then Governor of Arkansas, was accused of a number of sexual improprieties, openly called those women accusers filthy names. All in defense of her husband.

So for me, while I see President Trump as imperfect, crude at times, and so forth, upon reflection on those that comported themselves like plastic cutouts of the typical politician, while hammering America's, and Americans, future into the dirt, I'll take imperfect , who brought our economy back, created an avenue for petroleum self-sufficiency and reduced foreign oils grasp on our wallets, and so many other positives, over cut-out politicians who smile while cutting our throats, any day.

That's not worship. That's respect and appreciation.

And given where we are now under Biden, and it is only 2 years into his term, with 2 more to go yet, I genuinely don't know how anyone who is actually paying,
praying, attention could honestly, genuinely, think we're better off today than we were when Donald Trump was in office.

Correct. Just like traitor Benedict Arnold. One man did incalculable damage to America then and now. At least traitor Judas Iscariot hanged himself.
Okay, I'll bite: What exactly has Pence done that caused "incalculable damage" in your estimation? In what way is he a traitor?

"Trump has been urging Pence in the days leading to the joint session that he should discard electoral votes from battleground states where the integrity of the election is being questioned. Speaking to a supportive crowd outside the White House, Trump on Wednesday once again called on his vice president to use the power to reject presidential election results from those states." Epoch Times

"In addition to casting the tie-breaking vote when the Senate is divided equally, the President of the Senate also, among other things, conducts the electoral count 5 "

The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted;-The person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President . . . ..

In the 2020 election there was OVERWHELMING hard evidence that there was election fraud. There was no way that Biden could have received that many legitimate votes. And Pence simply ignored this hard evidence (as did Bill Barr and the Supreme Court). So it was not a simple matter of counting electoral votes. Pence should have brought everything to a halt when objections were raised (and objections were raised), since this was not a mere formality. The future of America was at stake. And because Pence betrayed his responsibility and his president, America is now in the most serious trouble that it has ever faced -- a Communist regime in Washington. Which means that Mike Pence was a traitor and a coward.

Now I get it. Trump didn't get re-elected. Thanks.

Glad to see everyone finally agreed that the damage done was incalculable, whether infinitesimally small or infinitely great, either way it was certainly incalculable.

This just makes the suspense all the more as we await the Lord's judgement to find out what it was.

I really don't think that Trump would urge Pence to discard electoral votes from battleground states if he was currently in the lead and not Biden. Whole thing was a political show. Inciting riots at the Capital was the only instance of treason. Even if Pence discarded the electoral votes the US Supreme Court would have immediately overturned this and award the electoral votes to Biden.

While I did vote for Trump and was upset that he lost, even though there was some fraud involved there was not enough fraudulent votes to swing the states in question to Trump's favor.

It is time for the Republicans to forget about the past and forge ahead with a platform that will appeal to their base, independents, and minority races, particularly Hispanics and Afro-Americans. If they continue to dwell on the previous general election, they will most certainly lose the next. The focus needs to be what is most important to registered voters in the next two years.

They think he's a traitor because he wouldn't assist Trump in his attempted coup

I agree we cannot dwell on the past. It doesn't change no matter how much we look back. Because it isnt there anymore.

However, as we move forward I feel it remiss if we do not take with us the lessons the past brought to us.

I don't agree it was a marginal vote shift that brought Biden into our White house. In fact for reasons I won't detail, I believe votes for Trump were shifted to Biden.

No,we can't dwell. However , I feel if we don't learn from our past we are condemned to repeat it.

What happened in November 2020 was an assault on this Republic. A line was drawn.

We will never be better off until Jesus comes as He is our real Chief and Commander. Until then we are stuck with sinners from all parties. As Christians it would be nice if we would stop trying to cut each other down over something as stupid as politics.

I'm sure you are a nice person and we probably could be friends face to face.

I had kids late in life so I still have a full house. Plus we had friends from church over tonight. I'm actually looking forward to an empty nest.
An empty nest isn't as great as you might think after the kids leave all that's left is growing old. Enjoying the Grandkids here and there. Enjoy your kiddos while you still have them at home you will wish for the busy and noise after they leave.

My post didn't cut anyone down. If that's how you read it, rest assured that was not the intent.

We are all sisters and brothers in Christ. That makes us friends now. 😊

I wasn't really saying you were cutting down, but you have to admit throughout the different political threads on CC that there is a lot of fighting over politics and that is what I was speaking about.

I have a lot of friends that are Republicans and Democrats, independents and I hold each one as valuable even though we don't think or agree on everything biblically or politically.

I appreciate the kind sentiment. I'm very thankful for my family. They are an incredible gift of God and I am richly blessed. And I'll try to remember your sentiment as I turn my ankle on an errant controller on the floor or when I eat the last sliver of pie left only so that I have to wash the dish and not them.

I am loving retirement. I have my blog and make about 5 posts per day on the blog. I am in the Gideon's ministry. We have a weekly prayer meeting and yesterday we were distributing Bibles at a food giveaway so I get to talk to hundreds of people (we gave out 486 English and 90 Spanish bibles). Once a month I work at a soup kitchen. I am also on the prayer team for Prophecy club and we also pray once a week. I visit my son once a week at his campus. If I want I can teach as a substitute but have been so busy this last semester I didn't go once.

I miss this kind of busy, my breathing is not good anymore and I can't stand for long periods of time like I used to. I also love retirement, but mine is more of sitting on my front porch enjoying the birds as they come to eat and finding enough strength to plant a garden which I have a chair close by to sit and rest. I planted over 250 bulbs in October and November and I look forward to watching them grow this coming spring and summer as I sit on the porch and watch the birds.

I am more of a behind the scene person now giving our lesson quarterly from church to the local library free book box when we are done hoping and praying someone will take it and learn to love God. Saying a kind word here and there and trying to love people the best I can.

Younger years I was in many different singing groups that would go and give concerts to different places and churches. I have always loved to sing but don't think my voice is as good as it was in younger years. I miss the singing.

Correct. There was electronic cheating going on throughout, foreign intelligence agencies were involved, plus a hundred other shenanigans which were all deliberately ignored by the Trump-hating Left as well as the RINOs as well as the Supreme Court. How could a demented criminal sitting in his basement get even one single vote? And had the Hunter Biden laptop from hell received the attention it should have received, Biden would have gotten ZERO votes. There was criminality right there.

Alsoi there was nothing marginal about the difference. If I were to hazard a guess Biden received only about 20% of the votes which were claimed. The rest was all bogus. IN FACT BIDEN CROWED LATER THAT HE HAD THE BEST VOTER FRAUD ORGANIZATION EVER. Yet everyone ignored that comment. And the Mid-Term results proved that election fraud is now embedded in the system with the courts actually encouraging and supporting it! Talk about a banana republic!

I did see Joe Biden in that piece about voter fraud. It is not without its detractors who insist it's out of context.

If that is true , and if it was produced before the election, it's mighty prophetic. That would make the third time in his career , whether he did say that or it was a splice compilation, that he told the truth about himself.

When he started his career he said this.
He began his career as a self admitted corrupt politician. He hasn't changed save for now he's losing the mind that got him there. That part is sad. 😔

Hunter is that bad apple that didn't fall far from the tree.
