Virginia has some of the best brews though. Blue Mountain. Devil's Backbone. Star Hill. Bust Head.

Too bad raw military recruits can't buy them. Or a rifle in the state of Florida.

Waterside in Norfolk has a Star Hill bar, 43 different brews on tap.

That sounds awesome. Maybe it's the Central VA man in me, but I stand by Blue Mountain. Their brewery in Afton faces them blue ridges.

Perfect place to go at sunset during the fall or spring. You can stand by one of their firepits and watch the mountains change colors with a quality brew in your hand.

Heaven really doesn't seem so far away.

Yeah, Ziegenbock and Shiner are both Texas beers.

If I came up to Virginia, I might have to spend a lot of time there, checking out the local brews....

I think I have a couple weeks vacation... don't want to over-do it in any one "sitting".... that pesky old "sin" thing, ya know....:)

Hahaha. That's a fine vacation. And there are a smattering of historical sites near or around the breweries.

The one I mentioned above is just a few minutes away from Monticello. Bust Head is near a bunch of Civil War battlefields and George Washington's old haunt. That Star Hill bar has to be close to the naval base. Lee and Stonewall are not buried too far from Devil's Backbone.

Man. I'll have to take a week or two next time I visit the family.

I didn't know Ziegenbock was Texan. Wow.

Now if there is a reason to get your AR-15 rights taken away...

I heard a talk show host mention this slogan on the radio the other day and I couldn't believe that Virginia is still using it after 30+ years...

I never understood the reasoning behind it.. I've been to Virginia several times and it certainly wouldn't be my first choice for a honeymoon or a romantic getaway... or even my second choice or third ...or fourth!

Its a nice shirt though.

Yep, that next homicidal-suicidal psychopath won't be able to pre-meditate around this legal barrier.
You think people might end up buying their guns from their drug dealers?

I think the plan is for Rick Scott to descend on all such transaction with a wand and fairy wings.
