Sounds reasonable to me. As a retailer they have made a choice and as such they can change their minds too.

You weren't really in Virginia.
I had relatives there... in virginia beach. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of crabbing with my family and my cousins there.. And I don't even eat crabs :p

Walmart and Dick's Sporting Goods have raised their gun buying age to 21. Federal law says 18 can purchase a gun (after background check).

Note that many 18 year olds serve in the military and some have died fighting for our country.

Do you agree with raising the purchase age to 21?

Other. It is their businesses and the free market will decide if it is in their best interests or not by buying elsewhere or continuing patronage.

You're 69 and you've lived your entire life without ever feeling the need to carry?
Never. (Only 61, but never.) And I grew up in a hunting-loving family too. Five nights a week we ate what came from the end of a fishing rod or pulled out buckshot with our tongues and teeth, because no way can you get all those little pieces of metal out of a goose or deer while plucking/skinning.

And I worked in a section of Philly called the Badlands. It's the worst of the worst for ghettos, where gunfight from drug dealers happened every other week.

Guns aren't a need. They're a want.

As for answering Zero's question. Don't rightly care what businesses decide for themselves. I truly believe business should be able to choose their customers.

On the other hand, I think it's way past time we teach people lives really do matter. When two generation of people are taught their is no sanctity in life, what are you expecting, except they're going to believe you?

Growing up, everybody's dad, uncles, and brothers over the age of 10 had guns, and no one was going into places to shoot people for no reason. This isn't a question of controlling guns. It should be a question of teaching people God really is and what he says is true. Growing up, America wasn't a Christian nation, but it had Christian values. That's what changed, not the lack of gun control.

I don't know what number I was looking at. Certainly not the age. I'll blame the painkillers they put me on. Pah.

Guns aren't a need. They're a want.
I'm glad your life has been peaceful enough to arrive at this conviction. It's also nice to see you are not looking to advocate public policy on that basis.

Or when a big storm blows through and wrecks infrastructure for weeks.

We don't need to be so fanciful :p

How about when you're a Korean store owner, and the jury comes back with the wrong verdict?

Those poor Korean shop owners are never left alone. What is it with the West Coast?

Its a good thing the store owner was able to protect his store by simply asking people not to loot it...
before this nice police officer showed up....
