I am forthcoming about your confusion, you interpret that as hostility, which also means you reject the notion you could have been wrong about what the red x was for in the first place. Well, like I said, you are free to be wrong, even as you are wrong to malign me. Your motives do not seem to be as pure as you would like us to believe. This type of exchange is distasteful to me. Bye for now.
It’s obvious you and Bob are an item, and I’m happy for the both of you. Now your defensiveness makes sense. Blessings in your future together.

Ugh! See? This is the type of thing that drives me crazy. There are very few “poor “ in America.

Rich, Poor, they are relative terms. What you and I may consider poor here is great wealth in many parts of the world. I have seen with my own eyes what true poverty looks like.
Worse than the democrat controlled cities in California and Washington, where homelessness has exploded specifically because of democrat policies.
Free market capitalism, governed by our constitution, is the single greatest reason the vast amount of our population has virtually all of life’s necessities, and most of life’s wants.

It’s insane to want to abandon that legacy and make our nation like the ones so many has fled from.
It looks like you don’t understand that we don’t have that system of capitalism you’re speaking so highly of.

I’m describing the system we have as of now, and you can hardly say Texas is Democrat controlled.

So what are you talking about?

Come on dude do you really wand to go back to the pre banking and wall street regulations like in the 1920's? Or the way thing were in the nations the our ancestors came from? Where the people with the gold make the rules? No middle class? Lords and servants? What ever happened the majority rule? All men were created equal? Promote the general welfare and ensure domestic tranquility, and provide for the common defense (against all enemies, foreign and domestic.)?

Why did the banks get bailed out? Why didn't the bankers and stock brokers responsible have all of their properties and assets seized for defrauding the public? I'd say 1 year in prison for every $50,000 dollars lost by gambling with our money sounds fair. As well as violations of the public trust and embezzlement. YES BUSH TOO, for letting them get away with it! Why will my grandchildren and probably my grandchildren have to pay for it long after they forget where I'll be buried?

Do you really not understand why people are getting so fed up that they'd rather have a Socialist President than out of control Capitalism?

The time to come to the bargaining table is now. I vote for peace, even if it means compromise. Make a deal or circle the wagons. Your side is outnumbered. If a 10 year old kid in Baghdad can build a home made bomb out of a teddy bear and a cell phone for pennies. So can college educated Socialists. As long as there is stuff like gasoline, mothballs, Draino, matches, iron oxide, highway flares, aluminum powder and fertilizer... Domestic terrorism could be on the near horizon. Wake up and smell the coffee. Big trouble is brewing!

Ugh. See? One more thing,

your definition of poverty doesn’t mean a thing in the real world. You keep talking about how rich poor people in America really are, and that you know what poverty really is. Fact is that no matter how rich you’re telling poor people that they are, they’ll still be starving (yes, your ‘rich’ dirt poor people in America are starving, and the ones having money for food are buying quarter pounders and KFC because that’s what they can afford. In turn that is making them suffer from a multitude of health issues). That sounds like a well functioning society to you? Is that what you want? Because that’s what you get, and tenfold if we were to use your kind of capitalism. Luckily we don’t do that anymore.

It is so hard to respond to brain washed, and ignorant Americans.

There are no starving Americans!!! That’s just the point.

The one sin that God over and over chastised and was angry over was the constant complaining of the Israelites that were given all of life’s necessities.

Untold people flee socialist countries BECAUSE of how that system has destroyed their nations. They come here to escape that hell. Why would anybody ever vote to bring anything remotely close to that here by voting democrat!?
Because they are ignorant and brainwashed and envious, full of covetousness of what the other guy has. Even though they themselves are in the top 2 or even 1 % of wealthiest people on planet earth.

You are very condescending.... did I state that the system was working.

As for the rest .. no comment.
People clinging to, and advocating things that repeatedly prove to not work need some condescension coming their way. You think America needs to go the way that Canada did, even though it obviously DOES NOT WORK!

If you've been waiting 10 years for your own doctor, you should probably be vehemently condemning that system instead of telling other countries they should try it. I don't want any of your Socialist medical system.

btw .... Yes Ayn Rand, there taking my time typing .....you ever read any of her books, studied her in University probably not...... why did I ever respond to you, well I will be sure not to let it happen again.
You talk about other people who have an attitude, but when you get challenged, you go straight into condescending, judgmental, tell people they have no education mode, don't you? Hypocrisy much?

Oh I've never read any books or taken an classes in those dumb schools of yours. I just stumbled in off the street. Is this how you think people with a cogent and contestant though process discuss issues? Infer that they are stupid because they do not accept your word as fact? How could you possibly know what I have read and what I have not read?

Yes, yes it is. If we had more Christians running for office we'd have a bigger pool to vote from with values and morals closer to what we believe. Of course more Christians ought to be running for office.

So you I take it you do not vote... They vote because Christians are not running for office, so you have to make a choice. You just made my point for me!!

We know things now that were not known back then. Abortions were supposed to be "safe and rare". Today they are being used as contraception. The following video is about Roe and the justices who voted, very interesting.

I noticed you didn't mention either of the Bushes or Bill Clinton, is there a reason you excluded them?

Every single one of those candidates support things that God vehemently abhors, and no one who actually knows Jesus as their Savior should have voted for any of them. The problem does not lie with the people who run. The problem lies squarely with the people who vote.
From the founding fathers on you can find a reason not to vote for a candidate. And if you don't vote you don't have a right to complain about what happens in the country. I'm not about to sit at home and let socialist/communists take over the country because Trump isn't perfect. I don't know where the man stands with God. He is surrounded by Christians, his VP is born again. I have no doubt he is talking to the President about the things of God. I hope he fully surrenders his life. But I believe God has allowed Trump into office for a reason. His stance on abortion, Israel, socialism and the constitution among other issues is reason enough to vote. We aren't in heaven yet. Christians sat out the vote and we got 8yrs of Muslim sympathizer Obama. Nearly destroyed the middle class, put half the country on food stamps.

If you sit and listen to the debates right now and the crazy things the Dems are advocating for if they get in, you'd get yourself in line and vote to make sure they don't get power. If you sit out, don't complain when the country turns into Cuba. I'll be the first one standing here reminding you what you said. [/QUOTE]

First off, let's get a few things straight: I am a Conservative. And actual Conservative, not one of those poseurs who claimed to be one and then voted for McCain, or Romney, or Trump anyway, even though none of them were actual Conservatives.

The very last thing a person sold out for Jesus would be thinking is "How can I further the Gospel? I know, I'll run for political office." What you are advocated smacks of a Theocracy, and that is the very last thing this country needs.

So you are clairvoyant and somehow know I don't vote. Exactly how? How could you possibly assume that from what I wrote? I vote. I've been voting since 1980. How long have you been voting? I won't vote for candidates that display a lack of moral values, or support something God calls a sin. How difficult is that to figure out?

Anyone who votes in favor of abortion votes for murder. You can make excuses for it, but it doesn't change the reality.

Did you want me to go back to Washington? I thought Bush v1.0 was a competent President. Bush v2.0, not so much. Clinton is what He's always been, an amoral, lying thug.

Believe it or not, Obama didn't start this country's slow slid into Socialism. You can thank Johnson for that. How can you claim Trump stands against abortion, when he hasn't done one single thing to stop it? You assume a lot of stupid stuff about someone else you can't assume. You don't know me from a box of Toasties, but you're acting like I want Socialism. Where did you get that? I hate Socialism. My message was blatantly simple, but you turned it into something else, because you didn't like it. it's too blunt. Let me spell it out again, so you can grasp it:

A. Christian. Cannot. Vote. For. A. Morally-compromised. Candidate. Period.

No wriggle room there. At all.

Easy enough to make a spelling mistake. Last time I checked this was a discussion forum, not an English class. You talk about Biblical morality and then make snide remarks to other posters. Perhaps you need to remove that log from your eye so you can see better.
A person who wants to be taken seriously makes sure their spelling and punctuation is correct. It isn't that difficult.

And yet, here you are. scolding other people. You know what the word "hypocrisy" means, right? If not, you should probably look it up.

Thx I just learned the difference between 'poseur' and 'poser' as in 'not one of those poseurs'.

Can you ever respond to anything I write without getting whiny about it? Starting off with saying I’m brainwashed and ignorant is just your desperate way of trying to save face, despite the fact that your two last posts in this thread reeks of ignorance.

I have seen the poverty in this country first hand. I know what I’m talking about. If you’d for once would step outside of that ivory tower of yours you’d see it too. Instead you’re talking about how rich a starving person is because you’ve heard that there are people even poorer somewhere else. The ‘rich’ starving people in America are starving regardless of how much poorer someone else is. You just don’t want to accept facts. That’s fine, but it worries me that people not knowing the first thing about the downsides of society are advocating a system we haven’t had in this country since the pre FDR era. Not even Trump wants that system back. But you can’t wait for it to be reinstated. Unbelievable.

You are either ignorant that you don’t know what the word starving is, or you are ignorant because you think there are starving Americans. Just like you were ignorant in not understanding what gerrymander means.

So no matter how you slice it dear, I’m terribly sorry to say, you are ignorant and are among the world’s wealthiest people.

Between government assistance programs (SNAP, school lunches, etc.), and local charities (soup kitchens, homeless shelters, food pantries, etc), if someone is STARVING (not just hungry occasionally) in the US they are just not taking advantage of the help that is available to them.

Yes that's true, but there are a lot of homeless people, even around here, pushing everything they own in a cart. I certainly hope they are able to find a way to get help. In 2018 there were over half a million homeless people with their lifespan down to under 50 yrs.

It’s sad to see a grown man so steadily on repeat.

If you want to deny facts that’s okay with me.

I didn’t want to drag in your other fallacies, but since you obviously want to play that game by mentioning gerrymandering I think it’s appropriate to mention that it’s a little hard to take a flat earther and the moon landing is a hoax guy seriously.

I wonder why some people won’t admit that we have starving people in America.

They clearly don’t know anything about the downfall of society. They are sort of lucky never to have seen that with their own eyes.

The correct word would be ‘downsides’ not downfall. Autocorrect...grrrr....lol.
