Abortion is only possible because people have rejected God, be they Republican or Democrat leaning.

My mistake, Presidents do not sign what comes up through the Judicial Branch, however he was the President at the time was my main point, not Reagan. :)
Our main point is that he WAS a Republican. Reaganomics was the dumbest idea to come down the pike since the Federal Reserve Bank.

What are you talking about? She said a supreme court decision was signed into law by the president.
If I remember correctly the President does not sign Supreme Court decisions, separation of powers.

Oops Viet Nam was pretty stupid too. let's see the CIA under Ike and Nixon. JFK grand was tricked into it just like 'The Bay of Pigs but he pulled the plug on that fiasco. I think he was changing his stance and wanted to pull the plug on the CIA and Viet Nam to but a lone nut that couldn't shoot straight with a rifle that couldn't shoot straight. In the wind from an 8th floor window 1 head shot and 1 through the neck into a moving car 75 yards away and Jack was gone. The police action that JFK to with draw from escalated soon afterward the popular idea was to get more anti Communist and although LBJ had second thoughts about it, but an election was comming. He refused to run against Dick Nixon But Bobby Kennedy did but 11 gun shots from an 8 shot 22 revolver the night RFK won the California primary and Bobby was done too. Nixon won. I wonder what happened?

No president signed anything into law. they can veto I believe, but they can also be over ruled. Their power is limited the president is not an all powerful Chief of the nation his authority is limited. The Viet Nam war was never legally declared. The Social Security Act was approved by Congress.

Don't Nixon's organized crime ties date at least to the start of his political life?

No Bob. The President cannot veto a Supreme Court decision.

Unless I woke up in Venezuela.

Look, it's incredibly hard to say that most Americans are completely ignorant on how our government works without sounding arrogant or rude.

But as a nation, it may be time to be a little rude. The ignorant's vote counts just the same as the informed. And if you are a Democrat, that vote is probably recorded twice!

You should NOT be allowed to pass High School without acing a class on the U.S. Constitution.

He was in the Navy during WW2 although being a Quaker would have legally exempted him. He fell into being in command of a supply unit. After the war he became a lawer and a fervent McCarthyite. Becoming Vice president would have given him CIA access which technically is a criminal organization they used Hoffa to connect with the Cuban underground that Hoffa diverted teamster retirement funds to. It got HIM thrown into prison by R.F.K. The bay of pigs was a failure. Nixon agreed to pardon Hoffa if the teamsters would support his bid for office in the 68 election. Bobby got murdered Nixon and Hoffa got pardoned by a former CIA director before Bush named Gerald Ford.

I regret voting for him. Ford that is.

Bro, what’s up with this post? You’re all over the place. I’m not insulting you or being derogatory but you lost me more than once. Then again, me getting lost is pretty much a daily occurrence on CC. 😊

Some people may have a wilder past than you guys do. And there may be things that those folks wouldn't mind if it went away forever.

google made the arguement that governments could just take down whatever (to hide abuse etc) and a judge bought that...but it is a valid arguement I guess.

wondering if google takes down complaints about themselves now..........:unsure::unsure::sneaky:

I think the point is that both sides are crooked. According to the logic of others here, a vote for republican back then would have amounted to a vote supporting organized crime. Hey, that's not far off the mark, no matter the era ;)

Two ways a decision can be overturned..by the Supreme Court itself or Constitutional Amendment through both houses and certain amount of support.

Not by a president. A veto can only postpone and send it through, or back through Congress a President does not have the final word. (Although some think they do)

There’s a deliberate dumbing down in America. Uneducated people are exponentially easier to manipulate and control than educated people.

That said, I’m smart enough to know that I’m dumber than a doorknob, yet I am fully aware that the Democratic Party has pushed the treason envelope.

I took an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States against enemies both foreign and domestic. America has never seen a domestic enemy such as today’s Democratic Party.
