why liberals just kinda like Islam

Looking at it on a large scale, Islam is by far the more violent religion. I am speaking as of now, please lets not go back to the Inquisition days.......I know Christianity did horrible things in the past. A few nutjob churches such as Westboro Baptist is a drop in the bucket compared to countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE , which off their immense oil riches are sponsoring terrorism worlwide and using them as their proxy armies. Sad thing is , the US is their ally.... I guess oil wins over morals.
I think the reason democrats/liberals like Islam is because they both believe in authoritarianism. They both want total, and absolute control over your life.

The Westboro Baptist types truly are the exception not the rule and news worthy mostly by their very existence.
Our ever loving media is ecstatic when these episodes occur however and report on them as if there’s a crazy Christian behind every bush…
All the same when’s the last time u saw a Christian drive a truck into a crowd or blast a theater with an AK47 ?

I heard on the radio yesterday (Tom Wallace's Fortress of Faith program http://fortressoffaith.com/) that even the UAE classifies CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood as being terror groups, but that the United States refuses to do so. Many are deceived as to the openly stated agenda of these notorious Islamic supremacist groups in the United States that masquerade as civil rights organizations.
I have to say I get severe cognitive dissonance between what the Media proclaims about Islam, and what I have experienced.
Many of the Moslems I have met have been very nice people.
Ultimately, as Magenta says, our only gauge is the Koran.
I do rather like the fact that Islam sternly rebuts queer stuff, and usury. (Unlike large segments of the Church)

Not my point.
My point is,
I would be told I like Islam along with apparently some liberal folks.
I don't like Islam, but I do not and will not disrespect them.
If I come across one and religion comes up as a conversation will I point out flaws in Islam and speak about Christianity, yes.
But I'm not going to go about my life thinking they are all awful people simply because of their religion.
Not all of them want to go out and kill everyone. Extremists? Yes.
We have multiple people who believe in Islam in my school, many of them I know fairly well.
Muslims are not all extremists. They are not all Satan like everyone thinks. Do they believe and read the wrong text? Absolutely.
Do I disagree with Islam? Absolutely. But I'm NOT going to act stark and rude with them simply because extremists decide to kill people, which also happens in Christianity and Judaism and every religion we can imagine

In God's eyes? No, He does not what them to be Muslim but to follow Him.
