Gee whiz, Mel. In another few days, your post count will pass mine and I have been here for two years.*

But then, scientifically, women use about 25,000 words a day and men only about 10,000.** So, except for the BDF, I suspect women on CC make more posts than men.

And I am rather introverted, so I need to get out even fewer words. (When I was single, I might only have said 50-100 words all 3 days of my weekend, mostly "Thank you" to store clerks.) ****

So I expect to see you zooming past (not passed) me in a few days.

(CC has gone a long way in helping me interact with more people than I normally would during my average day. I think it is good therapy for me, and perhaps for many of us.)

* But perhaps I can make up in length what I don't have in numbers.*** lol

** This is one of the reasons that when men come home from work they don't want to talk. They have already used 9,950 words while the women [especially stay at home moms] still need to get another 24,500 words out.

*** I knew of a family who once had a dog named Numbers. They called him that because he way always wandering. *$*

**** An interesting aside, when I started my four day work week, my coworkers just left me alone the first day because I wasn't very chatty on Mondays. I never noticed it until they brought it to my attention one year. lol

*$* D'ja ever notice how often people confuse wondering with wandering? *&&*

*&&* People also often confuse "their", "they're", and "there", and "passed" and "past". *%*

*%* I wonder if anyone will be confused by this post?
CC has been very good therapy for me and a tremendous blessing. You are right in choosing the quality of the words over the quantity. I'm on a 4 day work week too so my weekend is Mon - Wednesday. This week is a little screwed up as I will be going in a day early on Wednesday but I do love my time off and look forward to it every week. Yeah, there is often confusion on the grammar, particularly in the examples that you noted. This may be the longest post that I have read from you but it is also the best.

Yes, sweet Melody, you are correct. The lyrics are as you say. I remember listening to that song on the radio when it was new. Tony Orlando and Dawn. I also remember when Tony was on the t. v. show 'Chico and the Man,' with Freddie Prinze. They almost looked like identical twins.
I remember all of that stuff. I really must be getting old.

Melody is a pretty name for a pretty woman, especially sweet as you have duly noted. Good observation on your part.

I prefer dihydrogen monoxide-it's more wordious!
While this may be true it's best to use only in small quantities for best results. That stuff is not something to play with in the hands of an amateur such as myself. Is a hole in a sock some type of black hole or something to that affect, ah, effect.

I see that you are ketching up to our particular vehicular. "Orange you glad...". Now that's really clever. I wish I would have said that. It will be included in our lexicon. I'm very glad that you came. :) :) :)

Thanks for making me in charge of something usually I just get a charge out of things.....It can be electrifying....lol
Not an entirely bad sensation though. I tingle whenever you touch me. Sparks fly. Probably gonna need a fire extinguisher in case things get a little out of hand here.

Yeah, I was gonna say-I don't see any Jerry here! But even if so, as long as Jerry isn't a blanket hog.
My wife says that I am. I go to bed before her and she says that I am wrapped up like a burrito. She has to unravel me to get her share of the blanket. I almost rolled off the bed once.

It is but I didn't like the connotations of saying it that way, especially to you.
I understand how you feel. Us married guys have to exercise caution in our conversation with the ladies. Still, we are basically fun loving guys though but reserve the proper type of fun with our wives. I am impressed with your sense of propriety. I try also to maintain this but there are times that I get a little carried away.

I don't know if that's her full name, but she's so cheerful that I think of her as a happy song.

Did you hear about the NDN who drank 100 cups of tea?
