…30But when this son of yours returns from squandering your wealth with prostitutes, you kill the fatted calf for him!’ 31‘Son, you are always with me, the father said, ‘and all that is mine is yours. 32But it was fitting to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”…
(Luke 15:30 - 32)

There was a song out years ago called "God Ran". It points to the fact that, like in this passage, when we repent, God RUNS to us to welcome us into His family.

I have been a pretty poor Christian all of my life, but this story reminds me that God ALWAYS runs to meet me when I turn to Him no matter how I have been living. That is true love that I can trust.

Obviously Jesus told it to illustrate the kind of relationship God desperately desires to have with us. (So much so, that He sent His only Son into this sick evil world to die in our place so we could spend eternity with Him.) He loves us far more than we can imagine as limited willful silly humans.

I praise and worship God forever for loving me so much He sent His one and only human born Son to die on the cross in my place, and that three days later, God raised Him from the dead.

Thank you glorious heavenly Father.

I see you got yourself juiced...
I scored a carton of OJ this morning at our local Publix where shopping is a pleasure. At least that's their claim but it's better than trying to navigate our local super Walmart. Place is always a zoo and the restrooms are filthy.

Now I have nothing but orange juice in my mind thanks ... but I have no orange juice right now. See all words go out and have an impact don't they? I guess I must virtual shop then:

Nothing like a cold glass of fresh squeezed even if it comes out of a carton.

Yeah Mel - you can borrow it from me! It's what I feed Mr Peabody every morning!

I wonder if he would prefer gluten-free cereal or maybe a plate of scrambled eggs with bacon and hash browns, an English muffin with strawberry jam and a glass of fresh squeezed. Afterwards a cuppa of premium coffee for him and tea for you. Or maybe it's tea for two, hard to say at this point.

I can't imagine how tedious it must be to try and keep up with this thread using a phone. I thank God for my lap top but even then I have a hard time to ketchup. Mustard be my work schedule, miss 3 days each week and fall another 200 posts behind. Mayo a bit later but at the moment problematic. I condiment you on the way you always stay in the mix of things here.

Drink deep and full the love of God and you will not demand the impossible from earth's loves, and the love of certain veggies and peanut butter and jellies, will grow holier and healthier and simpler and grander. Good Break of dawn my friends, May the love of God bestow us grander. May His wealth of resources become ours to use for His purposes and intentions. And may the love of God conquer all things outside of Himself ... In Jesus' name I pray - Amen!

Ok prayer time over tourist grab a napkin -- lets do this gig:
