Yes, i know. I have said that repeatedly myself. But isn't really the point i was making.

You've been on the site less than a week. People are assuming she's seeking a mate because those of us who have experience on this site know that 99% of these posts are looking for mates. New users always get in a huff about the way long term members respond to certain types of posts, that is until they gain experience themselves and realize we actually knew what we were doing because they come to learn what we know.

I also find it no coincidence that she's seeking a man in the traditional age range for a spouse. Why not a 30 year old if it's just advice? Why only men fitting in her age range? Or 25 year old? What dramatic difference is there for advice from a 30 to 35 year old?
I am not in a huff. Text lacks tone. If I was in a huff I would express it without any reservation. I was trying to be fair. The amount of time I have been here doesn't have any bearing on my opinions. I am entitled to them, and this is a place where I express them. I always try not to assume and until this person comes on the string to state exactly what they meant, I wont.

You know I don't care if the OP is looking for a date, seeking advice, or wanting something else. All anyone had to do is point out this isn't a dating site or ask for clarification about the OP's specific need if it was other than dating. It seems people in singles have gotten so hardened to people that they are bothered by this. Simply correct the person if you want and move on. Mocking the person, poking fun at them, and getting your rocks off on their decision to make an unwelcome thread does not look any better than the one who solicits dates.

We are to be encouragers.
I agree. There is no reason to be rude or discourage someone.

I find it curious the original poster has not said anything else...

This is a Christian website and as Christians we could be just a little more excepting and less judgemental. I'm just saying. .

As do I, but no one knows the heart of person or the distractions of every day life that may have pulled them away. No one knows the intent....its all assumptions unti its confirmed. I may have left just because of the response I received whether I mistakingly chose to solicit a love interest or was just curious for some other reason. Some of the responses can.be off putting when.youre new.

That's because she hasn't logged in since she started this thread.

Not that uncommon, actually. People often put up threads like this and never come back or never respond.

Hi there - I have asked you to be a friend several times but no response....that's o.k. I consider you a friend anyway...lol
Oh! i beg YOU to forgive me. I have declined just to avoid those days people "unfriended" me when they saw something they didn´t like from my sayings (I have a secret count of those who are "withdrawn" and unfriended on CC) and, besides avoiding the feeling of being abandoned and left behind, I also have seen people like LAV or ww-21 have left CC, for reasons they also saw a sad lack of fellowship of several members (not to say brothers or sisters) so, as I have latgely said on my signature: "I´ve stopped having unreal friends" and, by saying that publicly, it´s proved U deserve everybody´s affection and attention, because U are honest and I´m a coward to be left or "unfriended". It is that I also have a lesson on those who used the monikers of "Buckets" and "Alexis" and these were banned "men" instead of real teenagers several people here liked, also with me.

Will you forgive a coward who doesn´t like to be hurt or lied?

(Please!)
