I would say it depends how well you know the person and your circumstances.
If you know them that well, hopefully you would be married to them.
Married people make decisions for each other all the time, like what’s for lunch,
what colour curtains to get for the living room. Things to buy for the house.
Many have shared bank accounts etc.
Then there are the times one or other might be unwell.
Incidentally while it’s not quite the same, I make nearly of the decisions for my
elderly aunt.
I also know other couples where one is elderly or who has had a stroke/cancer etc.
The healthy partner has to make most or in some cases, all of the decisions.
