Girls usually win arguments anyway, so it's really a compliment...
I'm not bothered by the 'girl' bit so much as by the 'unsaved' bit. An unsaved person wouldn't be concerned with God's truth. Also, I'm bothered by the fact that I apparently 'put down women'.

So I am a pharisee for calling out the pharisees. Jesus hung with the prostitutes, and stood against the religious teachers of that time. What does church actually give you? Do you not know how viciously Paul in the bible speaks out against fake believers? They are the most toxic people to be around, according to the Word of god himself. If your church even has just a few non believers in it, this is proof your pastor cannot detect them, and therefore he has let his pride of running a church with too many people to keep an eye on, take over his dedication to Christ. And therefore you are being taught by a non-believer pretending to be a Christian, the very person Paul warns us about so emphatically to be the worst kind of person to associate with, the ones who lead believers astray. If you go to a church with fewer than 15-20 people then you can be pretty sure the leader isn't doing it for pride, and is able to keep an eye on infiltrators who introduce destructive messages...Obviously there are true Christians in churches, but if they follow god, he will lead them out. Don't you realize the hype in these places? And those who write Christian books, why? What for? What can they ad to Gods word? And how arrogant to think they can guide people in matters of the spirit, who they don't even know. Do they get so little from the bible that they have to resort to hype filled 'christian' religious books to fill the gap? The books are like bread leavened with yeast, full of hot air and no real substance or food for the spirit. If the bible bores you, it's because you have nothing in you that it is feeding. Sorry to be blunt but I don't believe in flowery talk. I have not accused you of being judgmental, as you just did with me.
For pride?
Let me tell you something dear,
My Pastor is the only person in my life that visited me when I was dying in the hospital, he was the one to provide me with food and clothes when we were too poor to get any.
He was the one that flew back from another state just because I needed him.
Yes, very prideful.

I decided not to comment on that cuz I had nothing nice to say.
It's being said by people who obviously don't know you very well

I'm looking to see if there are any Christians who have the same faith as me...because looking through these threads I haven't found anyone.
So here goes:
I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and I believe we are all born into sin, and totally corrupted and a slave to it, unless we reach out to Christ and are saved by grace, not works.

I don't go to church. I totally believe almost all churches, unless they are like small home gatherings, have been corrupted and taken over by pretenders who enjoy the power of leading a group and being able to manipulate these people. I don't believe any true christian goes to church or continues to go to one. They are devoid of Grace. Either you eventually leave, or you lose your faith in order to continue. The early churches were formed as small house gatherings, to read letters from those chosen to write gods word (such as the apostles and Paul etc). In those days there was not a printing press, so it wasn't possible to read gods word on your own. Now it is, so we don't need to go to a church building to be lectured as if we can't read or buy a bible. I also believe the most toxic person is a fake Christian, and we need to avoid them like the plague. Everyone else, other non-christians are find to be friends with on a light level. True Christians are a breath of fresh air.

I never read 'Christian books', those self help style ones devoid of grace that attempt to explain the bible and how it helps us in modern times, as if we don't even have the spirit of God to translate his word for us. They are actually a good indication of a fake Christian, those who read them a lot or continue to read them.

I love reading the bible, at least once per day, and these days as I am going through a trial I read it multiple times. The word is alive to me, it breathes, almost dances on the page it's incredible, so full of grace. And even when I don't read anything specific to my situations, I still feel more peace afterwards and can do more in my day than I could have without it.

When I read the bible, it confirms what I have found in Christ....it doesn't teach me in the way most books teach rules and things to do. It confirms the grace I have received. I never read the bible before I knew god, I don't believe people really find God through reading it specifically, I think they first have to find God, and then the bible confirms in their hearts what they have received. I also don't think people find god through proving his existence, you have to actually want to do his will, and give up your own. You also have to be willing to see you are a sinner, and need saving.

Because the lgbt thing is so big right now, and it is seen as such a loving thing to embrace it (and now is the in thing for fake christians to use as a way to make them look like nice people), I should clarify I do believe that the sexual acts between two men or two women, are sin, and as we are all born into sin I believe gays are born with that tendency, just as we are all born with different sinful tendencies. I certainly don't discriminate against these people though, we should treat them as we do any other person. They are no worse than anyone else or me in fact.

I have never met anyone outside my family who have become Christians. I have met plenty of fakes, and had several guys pretend to become one to try and get me to marry them. It is a lonely world for a Christian, we a re few and far between, but I am truly blessed both my parents and two sisters now (not my brother, yet) actually know god and have the spirit. I am truly blessed they aren't fake christians who would attack my faith.

Anyway, there is more I am sure, but if you can relate to what I have said above, let me know! I'd love to hear from you and perhaps you want to hear from me.
uhm.. wow. People are always failable. No matter if its a big or a small meeting. No person is perfect. People in small groups can have the same issue as big churches. Fact is sadly that most churches are infiltrated but there are good one if you search hard enough. Going to a church regularly doesnt defile anyone nor which church. I met Christians in the RCC (and it blew me away because I always thought there are no Christians there). What that person that goes to church says, that does. Sometimes God has a message for a person or group so if you got a good church, its good for the lecture.
God speaks to us also through ''lectures''. Fake Christians need us just as much as nonbelievers. They may even need us the most. And the wolves in sheeps clothing who come to destroy, we expose the evil and try to show them where they are wrong and why. Just like a nonbeliever. To avoid them like a plague is not what Jesus taught. Love your neighbor as yourself. Love them and try to show them God. If you avoid them and reject them, you go into lawlessness because you pick and choose what you like and what not. Jesus went also to the Pharisees and brought some of them to repentance. Just look at Nicodemus. We shouldnt make a difference like that.

Not all who write help books are fake Christians. Alone that not everyone can read Hebrew or Greek may bring a bit of insight. Of course there are books that are just bias at least some of it, as simply not every person is the same. Damning all books of Christians is simply unfair, especially if you didnt even read a bit about the books. And exalting and strengthening people through writing a book is a good way to go to reach people. Sometimes when you hear a few sides to unclear passages helps.

Amen to that !

Amen to that too! (I wish more people would be willing to admit that)

Well I dont believe anyone is born gay but I believe that through spiritual forces and Trauma things happen.. God makes a difference between 3 kinds of sins.. 1 Unforgivable, Abominations, Sins. Which you see that how some got punished. But all in all through Christ Sacrefice we now can get free from all so I can see where u may be coming from. And the LGBT/Q people indeed dont need discrimination, they need God.

yea know the feeling. We are in the end times and according to that we get hated for his sake. But not all are fake Christians. Meeting people is never wrong, it teaches lessons and keeps us from getting one sided and dogmatic in some ways (like forgetting that people have emotions).

I suppose there aren't any Christians out there like me, at least on here. Still interesting how insulted most people got by me simply stating my own personal belief, and how many personal attacks I just received from not only people who don't know me, but people who claim to know Christ, and of whom I have not personally attacked. And yet I'm not surprised at all. Don't worry people I'm not going to turn up on your door step haha you are safe.

Let's not jump to hasty conclusions.

I'm sure Tintin's detractors have more to say.

: )
Lol. I'm amazed at the content of some of these recent threads. I thought we'd never come close to the hilarity of the demonic shape shifting thread, but this thread has potential. Some of these insults are so ridiculous that they are very amusing. I'm not even sure how a girl argues, lol. I've only ever heard of terms, "throw like a girl" or " punch like a girl."

I think your post is spot on......the modern church is mostly a failure.....I went to church for years, tried different ones, and went to church for over 20 yrs....it's a complete waste of time and spiritual stagnation.....I only grew when my relationship with God became more personal one on one time. Undoubtedly people will point the verse of "do not forsake the assembly blah blah" but I agree with 95% of your post the only thing I would say is there are some documented athiests who believed in God after dreams/revelations about creation/science or personal experiences in the supernatural like walter veith......he was a biologist and avowed atheist for several years until he encountered the supernatural via demonic possession and turned to God for help.....now he's a minister....so it can happen......that supernatural experiences make you turn to or seek God......

It's quite common unfortunately, the fruits of the spirit that are lacking or absent in their entirety.

I wanted to point out that you are wrong, here. People who use this argument lead others to blame God over repenting of their sins. If we are born this way, then God made us this way, meaning He made us sin. And if this is true, then we are not to blame, but God.

But, we are told differently. God tells us Himself that He tempts no one. We are told that when we sin, we are enticed by it and lead away. There is no verse anywhere that tells us that we are created as sinners.

And if you believe in Jesus and His Words, then you should know where temptation comes from. There are beings in the world we cant see who work day and night to lead us to sin. Jesus spoke about this often. If you believe in the teachings of man over Christ, that we are born this way and we cant help it, then you dont have much faith in Christ.

Nothing you said here is biblical.

EDIT: Also, if you come here to challenge whats written in the Word of God, youre gonna have people call you out on it. Plz dont try to make yourself look like a victim when people do this. You should expect it if you come here to post your own thoughts when they are contrary to the Word of God.

we'd get some where if you said why you view scores of Christians fake (and what you need help with God helps when we admit and humble ourselves) I think what you mean is youve met them and maybe they were very weak disobedient and rebellious Christians but you shouldnt judge or hate them but thats very loop sided considering that people you've met isnt arent millions and billions of Christians. fake vs disobedient Christians is a big difference those you gave up on "their fake " you could of helped them maybe to repent or God strengthen them ,could of really changed their lives. i was at a night club once and there were other worldly Christians there a non Christian who was known who came to our church saw me there and she didnt come back to church or soon after I remember that. So watch your actions if you want a real relationship with Christ. Were not to be trampled on and taken lightly if you cant work with , love Christians how are you gonna reach the sinner? PUT THAT IN YOUR BIBLE STUDY.
you say you love me and yet you dont want anything to do with me doesnt sound godly . Oh and jewish by the way so I hope you do come to my door step I'll bless you real good.
we can influence non Christians so wrongly
