I'm afraid I may be more of a werewolf than a vampire... (team jacob!) but on a serious note I just passed one of those threads and rolled my eyes. Seriously its so ridiculous and it doesn't matter how much you defend that there are good men and women out there some people just want to argue especially if they've been hurt by someone and in some cases they want people to "vent" on. So I'm not even getting all up in that drama I'll just say good luck to you and God bless!

There are no good men or women out there though... :)

You said what you said so casually... it made me wonder.

There have been several times when I've read people's posts and thought, "Wow, I bet X and Y would make a great couple, or at least, good friends..." but I don't say anything because I figure it's not my business.
Oh wow, that sounds like a fabulous way to embarrass tintin! :p

Ha ha ha, Pop... To be honest, all the "I'm Looking for a Spouse" threads really don't bother me--they're from new members who don't realize that's not what this site is for. But that's not to say a connection can't be made anyway.

I HAVE been known to occasionally write people and say... "You know... you and X seem to really have a great little banter going back and forth in the forums... and you seem to like such and such and X seems like a really understanding, fun person... HINT HINT HINT..." I just like to see people happy and meeting other like-minded people.

Even if it takes a good shoving in that direction to do it!! (I wouldn't mind it if a few people shoved me in the right direction as well.)

But no one really likes a matchmaker, I suppose, so I try my best to keep quiet.

It's just that it's so hard to keep myself from being bad.

When I try to be good, nobody's interested. ;)

What does it mean when a woman happens to really, really like garlic...

I suppose what it means is that the man will obviously think I'm trying to bamboozle him into buying me loads of HIGH END, BRAND NAME, DESIGNER garlic of course. ;)

You are so right, Ariel.

I mean, I'd normally be happy with the Walmart brand but hey, if I have a man around to pay for it...

I am definitely demanding Colgate and Scope.

And the Industrial-Sized Bottles at that.

After all, if I'm gonna use a man for money, I may as well go ALL OUT. :)

I make my husband spend obscene amounts of money to purchase name brand laundry detergent.

We tell each other all the time "You only married me for my money!" and it's so very dramatic.

...neither of us happened to be working at the time we decided to get married, nor at the time of our wedding.

Oh, I didn't think that you were going to embarrass anyone... I was just making a vague threat. :p

I've got a few of these left over from the last time I took a road trip. Nothing but the finest for my sweet soul-drainer...

Nuke,

I LOVE the little travel packets and samples you get in hotels or can buy in stores for at trip!!!

And, judging from the colors and design on this label... It's Neutrogena, which is known as a very high-quality name among drugstore brands...

How did you know you can totally win my heart with brand-name toiletry packets. :)

Well, I just...uhhh...it's generic. Cheap. Non-specific. It's just shampoo. That I got for free...

~backs toward the door~

Really, it's no good. It doesn't have any suds. It's in a ketchup packet...

~yells out the door "Someone help me, she's gonna drain my soul!"~

I don't know anything about Neutrogena, I think this shampoo was Nothingena...you can do a lot better.

~whistles non-anxiously, and waits for the cavalry to arrive~

*Tries to hide the fact that she is laughing hysterically while draining his soul at the same time [muh ha ha ha ha!!!] before he can even make so much as a "peep" for help.*

Nothing like a victim, object of prey, er... potential candidate... who has a sense of humor about having his life sucked away.

Seriously, Nuke. We materialistic blood-sucking vampires totally can't resist things with designer labels.

Even when disguised as humble travel packets of shampoo.

Oh, how about diamonds? I've heard they're a vampire's best friend, so here's a whole box of them. Don't wear them all at the same time...you wouldn't want to be vulgar.

While I do admit to liking diamonds... I think they'd be more of a hassle than anything else. I mean... Where would I wear them? To church? I mean, it might work for some women and that's great, but for me, I'm like, I'm going there to learn about God, not put on a fashion show. My ex-engagement ring was a $100 CZ, and the reason it cost that much was because of the 18K gold band it was set in. I just couldn't see the practicality of a real diamond that might get lost, damaged, or stolen.

This is yet another reason why it boils my undead blood to constantly read how "materialistic" we women are. (By the way, I paid for half of my own $100 ring.) Not all of us are like that.

Sorry Nuke. Diamonds won't work as a distraction... for me, at least.

But throw down a mushroom swiss burger and you've got yourself an easy truce. If you make it two... we can have lunch together. :) My treat. (Hopefully the restaurant will take Transylvanian money.)

Wow. I just spelled MissCris's name wrong... therefore having to Edit my Reason for Editing after making my Original Edit.

I guess I just ain't the brightest bulb in the bunch. :)

Am I materialistic? No. A bit dim-witted at times... Yes!!
