Well I came in here to discuss the thread topic but I can see that no longer exists.
Well, what romanic things can single Christians who are trying hard to kill their flesh, talk about?

My mind is quite blank on this issue.

I don't consider myself romantic but do believe it can really reinvigorate any relationship like feeling refreshed after having a frosted key lime shake from Chick-fil-a after having a long day.

What kind of romantic gesture/thing would you do for your future spouse or want him/her do for you?

Me? I want her to feed me chicken tender with her mouth while making a full eye contact throughout.

Ok, going out to get some chicken tender and a frosted key lime shake from chick-fil-a.
Backrubs.
Massages.
Chocolate.
Drives.
Writing love notes.
Sharing music (singing and playing).
And spending time in Devotion.

And not in that order.

I'm not sure I've ever really attempted to have a romantic discussion. I've always thought of romance as an action. So as far as romantic topics to talk about, I've no idea. Romantic discussions I've ever been in were spontaneous and typically expressive, and not so much conversational topics.

I'll give my husband a relaxin foot and back massage 😊

I'll Pack for him a healthy lunch for work

Get ready his clean clothes and shoes every morning :giggle:

And I'll be his caring nurse when he is sick 😊 View attachment 197287
Him 🤔 A warm hug and a kiss on my forehead in the morning

An I love you message everyday (text or face to face )

Making me a cup of coffee :giggle:

And him making sure to eat dinner with me everyday.

And telling me about how his day went and ask me sweetly how's mine. :giggle:

And the most romantic one is when he is giving me all of his money

This one really made me, or kinda made me regret making this thread because it just felt.. real and sincere - and in turn made me feel little miserable haha. This one takes the cake personally.

A son in 5th grade telling his dad how he likes this girl sitting in front of him or his daughter telling him what her prince charming would look like - I don't think dad would scorn them for having such idea/thought but rather cherish the fact his son/daughter shared that with him.

Whoa.... "Killing the flesh" and trying to deny romance? God made us men an women! We are intended to satiate each others desires as husbands and wives! There's nothing at all wrong with romance! The problem with the question "Are You Romantic" is that it assumes everyone knows the real definition OF romance. I would like to suggest that we start over again from there.... christian74?

AND NO MORE FART JOKES!

Romantic no not really, but I do have a pretty good capacity for letting people know I care about them when I care and I may or may not have written some poems and / or stories for such people. And if I'm interested in knowing a person I listen and remember everything they say about themselves (some might consider that romantic, other's would consider it stalkerish), but then again I remember an awful lot just about anybody says about themselves (at least the stuff the seems worth remembering).

I just had a conversation with an old friend, while we spoke futile words, there was a million
and one times 100, heartfelt connections within our eyes.

and if any care to know, her and I have nearly identical eyes.

I’m not really sure if I have ever thought myself capable of romance. I do hear a lot that I am thoughtful. The thought of romance usually brings up some anxiety in me. Especially when you see those folks that go all out on big showy stuff. It seems like a lot of pressure. 😛

Know what's romantic? Knowing when someone just needs a hug.

I'm all for light hearted bantering among Christian friends :) But let's not forget that Lady GaGa and Marilyn Manson are teaching our kids about romance....
