Why is the sky blue?
Excellent question, Ella! Science is the reason the sky is blue; and the sky is blue because of science. (Somewhere in the ether of years past, my long-ago science teacher is shaking his head and wondering if I learned anything.)

Touche! And on to the answers.

How do you tell if a set of bagpipes is in tune?
It takes an Irish ear to tell whether a set of bagpipes is in tune. Unfortunately, I do not have Irish ears.

Was dead reckoning ever alive?
Once. But he prefers not to talk about it. Ever.

Do you follow xkcd webcomic? If not, why in the world not?
I don't. But they're funny.

When will the singularity happen, and will the supercomputer help or enslave mankind?
The singularity has been postponed due to budget cuts and R&D difficulties regarding the supercomputer. So breathe easy for the time being.

It's 2014. I want my flying car. Where is my flying car? We were supposed to have flying cars long before now.
Next year; spring of 2015.

Hmm... Errr... I'll take your list anyway!

Are you REALLY Deadpool?

(And if so, can I give you a list... :D)

JUST KIDDING EVERYONE!! Then again, it's Sunday. Ask me again on Monday... and a list may just magically appear.

How many licks does it take if the stupid owl doesn't bite the Tootsie Roll Pop?
Somewhere between 786 and 789, depending on the velocity of your licks and whether or not your tongue tires out. Also, depending on whether or not you take a break and the Tootsie Roll Pop dries out. If it does, the clock resets.

Will I get more use out of buying a boat or a motorcycle?
Definitely one of these:

When will the dear old ladies at church stop asking if I'm seeing someone yet?
Don't they know I'm just interested in raising my kids and leaving that side of things in God's hands to do with as He pleases?
The old ladies... sliiightly outside Wade's territory of knowledge. Hopefully they're good cooks.

...Or is this the wrong thread for all that?
Also, I have returned!

Wade, why is it that the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series started off poorly, was average for much of its run, but improved dramatically with the last third or so of the series?

Excellent question! And I think the answer is... superpowers.

First, I must address this. My dear friend, I once explained that since SHIELD is a Whedon show, it starts off slow, not poorly. He's the king of back story... well, the Heir Apparent. Stan Lee is the King. Anyway, Whedon makes sure that things are properly woven together before he truly starts telling a story. If I was still pagan, I would worship in his general direction. :)

Coulson absolutely lives!

So, why Wade Wilson/Deadpool?

How are you similar and how are you different?

Why is he your favorite?

Why did you choose anti-hero for a user name?

Do you consider him an anti-hero?

Do you consider yourself an anti-hero?

How long have you been into comics?

Out of Baskin Robins 41 flavors, which is your favorite?

Hmm... interesting questions!

1) Mixed race/mutt = not entirely sure. A bit of everywhere!

2) English (I failed college Spanish miserably)

3) Not entirely sure. Maybe renaissance man/jack of all trades.

4) Keeping secrets.

5) John 6:67-69 Words of life, there.

6) Yep.

7) Office Space. Still a classic after all these years.

8) Didn't have one, believe it or not.

Duchess, I have no problems with a slow-build up to establish characters etc. I just found the scripts a bit average and not particularly well-written.

Well, the scripts weren't written by Joss Whedon himself. His brother Jed (I think that's his name) is one of the big wig writers. Let's blame him! :)
