Do candy bars count? Because if so, payday is where it's at. And black licorice should go to hell.

Paydays are great. especially the giant ones! I used to hate licorice of any type, like gummies, just cause they were boring. But now I like some strong black licorice tea. :)

I have been buying Skittles every week for about a month. The rainbow tastes good.

2nd black licorice. Nasty. You know there is a health warning for black licorice?

"This isn't about the calories inherent in candy, but rather about glycyrrhizin, the natural sweetening compound that comes from the licorice root. The compound causes the body's potassium levels to fall, which can have nasty side-effects for some people.

These effects include abnormal heart rhythms, high blood pressure, swelling, lethargy and even congestive heart failure."

I believe you to be in error, Sister Kinda.

Not about the health risks. But about the nasty. :p

One has to eat a ton (2 ounces of black licorice a day for at least 2 weeks) over an extended period to have serious effects. But it's certainly not recommended for folks with high blood pressure. Good and Plenty have just 2% licorice extract in it.

Licorice can be bought with the glycyrrhizin removed.

Licorice has health benefits too:

"Licorice root is used to soothe gastrointestinal problems. In cases of food poisoning, stomach ulcers, and heartburn, licorice root extract can speed the repair of stomach lining and restore balance. This is due to the anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties of glycyrrhizic acid. Accumulating lines of evidence show that licorice has anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antioxidant, and anti-microbial effects [1, 4, 7–9]. In particular, recent studies on hepatoprotective effects of licorice suggest that it can reduce liver injury by enhancing antioxidant and anti-inflammatory capacity [7, 10]. "

It was just a carefully laid trap to get you to cough up your secret gender. (Mission accomplished, SimpleSheep!)
