I think that any person who uses the line "You deserve someone better" is not being honest. When the same person was in the relationship, they would have reckoned (without a doubt) that they were the best for their partner. Now that they want to move on, they find shelter in this statement.

I think if someone tells me that, I would just call them out on their lie and then say that they were a disappointment. Not that it would matter anyway, but I would hope that they would take the effort to come up with better break-up lines in the future.

Not exactly. But I have learned that almost everything is subjective. Even this :)

i actually have heard that and said that before. Except it was empty pop cans on the table and not dirty underwear. Lol
