I'm proud of what I am, whatever it is... maybe a modern nerd?

Whatever, the most important flag is Christ's flag.

I've been called a nerd before, but I'm not really sure what the definition of nerd is nowadays. I like reading about EVERYTHING, I've always had good grades, and I like videogames. However, I'm not really good at math and I'm not very interested on larning about computers and all kinds of software.

I read lots, got good grades, played endless hours of RPG's, went to renaissance festivals DRESSED UP, watch shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, know all of the words to Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog, I know HTML, I learned how to draw by drawing anime characters aaaannnnnddd......I have lots and lots of online friends from when I was 15 that I still keep in contact with. :p Probably more stuff than that too. Does that make me a nerd yet?

It is interesting that you mention online friends...I have noticed that only certain types of people are interesting in interacting through internet. And these people are usually ''nerds'' or geeks in some degree.

PS. LOVE RPG'S

Well, first of all even though I tend towards the side of logic, I wouldn't classify myself as a nerd. :D

Secondly, in my humble opinion, middle age and old age is a state of mind not necessarily chronological. My folks are in their early 70's and are more physically active than most people that I know that are "middle aged."
WELL SAID, NOW I WILL PUT ON MY LARGE BLACK GEEKY GLASSES, AND READ THIS AGAIN. :p

Lets see here...I worship Jesus Christ as the Son of God who bore our sins on a cross, and I am a fan of anime, american comic books (both DC and Marvel) play video games of all kinds on all platforms, watch way too many kid cartoons for how old I am, love just about anything sci-fi, write fiction, draw, act, sing, and am just a little obsessed with a certain British sci fi show about a time travelling alien in a blue box.

...do I constitute as a Christian nerd?

I buy University science textbooks for pleasure reading, all my apps are brain teasers and memory training, I've got about two friends but haven't had a night out in about two years. I'm pretty much all need but i look like a MMA fighter. I've always had trouble fitting in anywhere but church.

I dont call people nerds, or cool, or anything... we are all human beings with different needs that cry, laugh, get excited for different reasons and if you want a friend you got one right here feel free to talk to me :)

*Goes back to carefully balancing the pen AND pencil she has woven into her hair buns.*
I just had a flashback of Edie McClurg as the school secretary in Ferris Bueller's Day Off pulling all of those pencils out of her hair...

That reminded me that I had to immediately go listen to 'Future's So Bright' by Timbuk3, so yes, I'm a nerd....then from there to Modern English, The Vapors, now listening to M|A|R|R|S and Simple Minds...nope, not there yet...A-Ha and Toto...The Police and Men at Work...Closer now... ~closes eyes~ Depeche Mode, New Order...The Cure. The Cure. Plainsong off of the album Disintegration...I have so arrived in 1989. It's opening time, down on Fascination Street.

I think I'm a nerd in some ways, but I was told in the chat room that I wasn't, by someone I had never talked to before. I guess I don't "look" like one?

I guess I'd probably be more like a "bookworm". I love reading. I also like researching things about nature/animals. God made some really incredible things! :)
