1. I was the arm-wrestling champion of my school.
2. I used to have dark burgundy hair.
3. I am a twin.
#3 is the lie, mostly because I want #1 to be true. I could see you sending those kids off with their tails between their legs.
LOL, Conversation! I appreciate the enthusiasm, really I do!
Thanks for the laugh!
I must confess, I told one truth and two half-truths.
1. I DID participate in some of the recess arm-wrestling matches in grade school, but alas, I was not the champion. I was just a nerdy bookworm who was trying to see if she could be tough. I did beat out a couple of other kids, when I came up against one of the class jocks (he was a foot taller than me), it was all over.
He was, however, cool enough to tell the other kids that I had been a challenge and put up a good fight. Very cool of him to lie like that in order to save my rep.
2. I came from a family, church, and time where only "bad girls" dyed their hair (unless it was an older woman trying to hide the gray.) A family member told me I'd look like a "cheap streetwalker" if I dyed my hair.
Of course, I did it anyway, and my co-workers loved it. I then dyed it a purplish-eggplant, and people loved that even more, but I had to dye it every month and was utterly frying my hair. I LOVE all the funky colors they have out today. If I had blond hair (that really showed off the colors,) I'd probably never let my hair go back to a "natural" color again.
3. Technically, I am not a twin. However, when I was a kid, my brother and I had the same bowlish-type haircut... and people always THOUGHT we were twins... because they also assumed that I was a little boy.
