We appreciate your cooking, we are thankful for your car maintenance skills, and we LOVE when you do manly things like open pickle jars and lift heavy furniture.
But of course, How else would we get our exercise?

I'll be the bad guy and say clean. I do like men who cook, but I would hate it if I had to end up cleaning every single thing he uses, wether it is in the kitchen or elsewhere. Takes the pleasure out of it (''Honey I just made a 5 course meal just for you! :d'' Me: greaaaaaaat! ............

Wait...just because we can cook, who said anything about 5 courses?

JACKPOT!

(Hey, when two pretty women on two different continents prefer the cooking skill over the cleaning skill, I've won...SOMETHING...in my book. Granted, both women are a hojillion miles away, but one can hope that the two can speak for the majority, eh?)
Well, I can speak only for myself -> but yeah -> I do know some other women who likes when a man knows how to cook. :)

But you know what is funny & cute at the same time? When a man who doesn't know how to cook well... -> still -> tries to cook for you just to impress you. :)

I will have to go with cooking as well, especially if we can do it together!

I would rather do my own cleaning. It's therapy for me. :)

Besides, if you have kids one day, they won't die from a messy house if you get sick or something, but starvation is very unhealthy. :)

I like to cook, and hate to clean- especially the dishes. But I agree that it is the willingness and attitude towards it. If the guy likes the food I make, rather than because his mom always cooked for him and he expects me to take the 'mom role' when marrying, then there's an issue. I don't foresee myself marrying a guy like that though.

I love to cook so I would have to say cleaning because I hate it :) I think mum pushed it down my throat too much when I was young LOL

In my hypothetical marriage... If he washes some dishes after I make the dinner, that's hawt. He will likely get a back rub later (and other stuff). ;)

I would happily do all of the cleaning without complaint if someone, ANYONE, did all the cooking.

...as long as I can still do my own baking, I mean.

I agree that "and" is definitely better ;) My dad certainly has both qualities, and mama always told me to marry someone just like him. :p

I think it's attractive when a man knows how to cook well, but I find that I am more impressed to find that a man has cultivated habits of cleanliness.

You can teach your spouse how to cook, but ya can't teach them how to clean. ;)

Plus...it'd be really nice if I married that my future husband would clean the dishes for me on the nights he knew I was completely wiped out. :p That'd speak more to me than cooking. Though cooking is nice. :D

It depends on how you approach the "clean" part...

I'd rather him be clean than to clean. In other words, I'd rather him actually wash his hands after using the restroom, shower, rinse off his dishes, clean up after himself (if he shaves, clean up the hair around the sink, etc.) than to actually, say, do the dishes or cook supper. However, if that is a given, then I'd rather him cook.

Hopefully that makes sense...

Don't tease me. I might just do it. A friend of mine has (I say "has" because I just saw it and she's trashed it again ) the messiest office EVER! I mean EEEEEEEEEEEVVVERRRR!

She dared to leave me alone with it. It took me four hours. :) Her mom told me she walked into my friend's office and thought she was in the wrong place. :)

P.S. - Don't tell anyone, but I actually have a box of cute organizational stuff in my closet that I MIGHT need later.

OCD? More than a little *twitch twitch*

So don't come into my house and turn my canned goods so that I can't see the labels!!!! They are rigged to blow if you do.

You think I'm kidding, don't you? :D

The guys tied up in my basement thought that too....

I was going to do a witty response to this with a picture of a couple of guys tied up.....

...totally regretting that picture search.

This sounds very reasonable but I do enjoy cooking.

I can happily say I do neither, the washing machine is a abstract device to my mind. But I have recently learn how to boil an egg and am very proud over my new found cooking prowess

I can clean pretty well. I'm just messy and don't. And some things i can't handle. Such as anything requiring strong chemicals.
I can't cook. I know enough to survive. But if you're looking for a good meal with enough variation to not get tired. So it looks like i'm out of the running.
