It is indeed, and that slice of cheesecake in your avatar seems exceedingly superfluous to your dietary requirements for sugar and dairy. Fortunately I just LOVE cheesecake, so I will be happy to help with that.
I'm down with the cheesecake too. Consuming it (in great quantities) makes life more bearable. I am no English major but I do believe that exceedingly superfluous would be a redundant term. I'm not too swift with French either as I got a D in that subject in high school. The only word that I learned was mademoiselle. Oui.

that's what I'm saying - - it's good times!
Yeah, Dad was in the US Air Force and brought Mom over from Detroit. I was born in an army hospital in Landstuhl, Germany. Left for the US at 9 months of age so unfortunately I have no memory of having lived overseas.

A lot of us, myself included, hate "talking about ourselves". That is, when I'm given a directive as open-ended, I have no clue where to begin. Try starting with a more directed question that will get people to reveal things that say a lot about themselves rather than their 30-second commercial.

* Eli stares at himself in the mirror, slightly embarrassed with a hint of self contempt. Wonders "How did I fail to sidle correctly? This is gonna take some consideration."

Let's see, it's been a while maybe i can recycle my old reasons people should date you posts:

And a few years later (oh wait this was a shouldn't date me thread)

Then there was.

And someplace there's one more but I can't seem to find it with the search feature. Oh well here's the curated cinder talks about herself list.

 So I have been thinking.... since there are so many desperate singles (JK  ...slightly desperate ) on this here forum... I will take it upon myself to post this thread. Its quite simple really...post some things about yourself that are interesting and captivating (looks, hobbies, job...etc..) then whomever finds the other whomever interesting or you just plain fall in love at first sight (it does happen..) then go on a (start a conversation) date. That conversation button thats blue on peoples profiles ....I'm sure you guys are very familiar with it! Get to know each other, or not ...as the case may be. When thats over post on the thread and tell the other people what your experience was.

Okay.. reading over what I just wrote and thinking about it, this is probably a horrible idea but what the hey , lets give it a whirl.
We've had threads like this. Recently in fact. And most users here are regulars and interact daily, and have for some time. Nor do most regulars come here to look for a date. If i had to guess this is more for you than the people that have spent a year+ talking regularly.

Got a party pooper here folks...its cool dude you don't have to be here if you don't want to :) Actually its more just for fun and yeah an opportunity to have new people share things or maybe old people who have been here to share things they havent yet ... I'm certainly not taking this seriously :)

I just don't think you are really that interested in sharing. :)

I hear ya, you post away...your thread is cool even if it morphed into culinary mode, haha. Looking up old posts from years ago is a trip and could provide lots of spin-offs.

Well I did think about asking you to back me up on this one. So all I have to say at this point is QED. That and I think we've given him (actually I don't know up. is up a him or a her?) enough pushback on a less than ideal word choice. Any more arguing about it would be truly superfluous.
Got a lol from that post :p

An unnecessary amount of fun...an above and beyond ludicrous amount of fun maybe?

Maybe when people crack up at nothing and laugh so hard that their sides hurt would be "superfluous humor" to one but I see it as having a negative cast except in the way that words can be applied with archaic definitions but generally aren't understood.

So much fun it was unnecessary how much fun was had? Perhaps in the same category as "ridiculously entertaining? bordering on the absurd.

Either way that was fun to think about :)
