So...the jello burning thing...
Me and my friend were like, OOH, let's make JELLO! when we were like, 10 or so. And so we mixed the stuff up in the pan and turned the burner on and went outside.
And my mom came to get us, yelling about burning down the house, and the jello had boiled over and was everywhere and the pan was totally black inside.
And me and that same friend were playing with a chemistry set one time, and used the stove burner instead of the janky bunsen burner the kit came with, and there was a roll of paper towels RIGHT NEXT TO THE BURNER and...POOF! Up in smoke...and my mom came in, yelling about burning down the house...
And me and that SAME. FRIEND. were lighting stuff on fire in the drive way one time with a magnifying glass, and my mom came out, yelling about burning down the house, and we both started singing the song at the same time...
Enough about my awesomely fiery childhood.

When I was 22, me and my husband lived for a year in a motorhome that we bought from my father-in-law's friend. It was an older one, but still nice enough on the inside. We parked it at a KOA.
Sooo, while my husband was gone one week for his job as an electrician, the power went out on me. And I was trying to figure out why, because it was just me, nobody else had lost power. And I didn't figure it out, but the power came back on soon, and I started running a bunch of stuff again.
And then after about 20 minutes, I smelled something burning. Plastic. I couldn't see any smoke inside, so I wandered out the door and around to the side where everything was hooked up.
And there were foot-high flames coming from the RV's hook-up to the park's electrical outlet box thingy...
I started an electrical fire. Cuz I'm THAT COOL. And my electrician husband was utterly ashamed of me.
...the end.
But then I totally caught a toaster oven on fire because I didn't clean out the crumbs for a reeeeally long time.

I was dreading a lesson with a new 5 y.o. student because I was expecting things like sticking fingers in noses and getting my piano all boogery, but she wasn't at all like that. I had her pull her new books out of the bag, which she was totally into. She was mostly attentive and was able to read all the instructions when I had her read them aloud. When she seemed like she was losing a little bit of focus, I switched to the note speller assignments, which includes coloring and labeling, then she was back to the method book all refreshed.
