The fellow posters have given some great advice....you may be dealing with something demonic about that women (maybe a spirit of jezebel or other demonic spirit) that is trying to attack you b/c the Holy Spirit living inside of you is a threat to that spirit's domain so to speak....while the Holy Spirit resides in our spirit, our soul/emotions are vulnerable to attack....you have done good by praying up but before you enter your work place plead the Blood of Jesus or worship God on the way to work.....your spirit will have teflon coating so no negative spirits/things stick to you....the blood of Jesus works wonders!

I'm more and more convinced that there was something demonic going on in that office yesterday, and I am going to be sure to armor up from now on. I wish I had a pendant to wear too, and maybe yesterday's experience is the perfect reason for me to get on Amazon and browse the Christian jewelery.

I only had that feeling once in a church that was completely infiltrated and overrun by the enemy. I left after the pastor only said very few words and I was faster with crutches than my mother. Id call that decernment. Enemy Territory. Unless its around all woman i am sure that that lady had a problem, not you. God bless you brother

I had this happen once when I was in a church. The pastor was very charismatic and I began to become increasingly uncomfortable with his preaching style. He was becoming more and more feverish and excited. Then he said, "I am going to count to 3, and the spirit of God is going to come into this place! 1... 2..."

And I was overcome by a forceful need to be GONE before he made it to 3. I just remember thinking "I have to get out of here!" Something was coming. And it was not God. O_O I made it out before the showdown, and never went back.

An amulet isn't going to help you. Christian jewelry is the EXACT same. Trust me. You seem like an intelligent man, and if you're hoping a cross will protect you, it won't. That's simply not how it works.

It's something that bothers me about Christianity. You're supposed to rebuke witchcraft, but you "borrow" stuff ALL THE TIME. In language, in church practice (especially in the catholic church), etc. It amazes me. Sometimes I go into church and I feel like I'm at a rites ritual.

No, I don't put faith in charms or totems. Yesterday's experience just reminded me I've been wanting to buy a pendant. I'd gotten busy and hadn't taken the time to choose one.

Good. I believe in magic, I've seen it and used it. I love how C.S. Lewis talks about the deep magic God uses and has in the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Because that's exactly what it is. He speaks something into being with power, he causes things to happen, he created and continues to create. He was, is, and will be creation, which is the ultimate magic in its true and purest form. What the enemy holds, what power I was given was a doled out portion. A mere shadow. The enemy uses it well, and the church is highly miseducated on it.

But I'm off topic.

People think having necklaces, bracelets, bibles, etc mere nouns are what protect us from the demonic, from ourselves. But it's simply not true. That's why we're told to hide God's word in our hearts, why we're told to armor up, why we're told to be in constant prayer. The spirit protects us. Not nouns.

I'm going to warn you Crumpet. Now that you know about the warfare, life is going to get harder. With the coworker, maybe, but definitely overall. And if I was the one running the game it wouldn't be all at once. It would be subtle. It would be female focused, work oriented, building confusion, an attack on your intelligence, leading up to something outlandish. As in something you'd never identify with. Keep track of weird things. Meetings, write ups, phone calls, emails.

I'm very serious.

See, that's one thought that went through my mind last night while I was in prayer "Was this the opening salvo of what will become a battle"?

Spooky to be sure, but if I get the same feeling again that I got yesterday, I'll at least recognize it. Yesterday just overwhelmed me. It's my first brush with the supernatural since becoming a Christian (but not my first experience ever, but that's a different topic for a different time).

The entire life of a Christian is a battle. We live in a spiritual world, not a physical one. If you haven't read Ephesians, do so. There's a story about Daniel where it took three weeks for him to get a message from God because there was such a huge spiritual battle going on around him (Daniel 10).

If you're comfortable in sharing, how long have you been a Christian? And what is the length of time between you being saved and this event happening?

I'm sorry friend ..this is not a healthy Christian attitude. A "pendant" would only open the doors to a demon ..if you put your faith in physical type things. I don't want to be rude or harsh..you seem like a sincere guy?

I'm not comfortable sharing. Not on this site. Too many folks just looking to jump on folks for the slightest thing.

I wouldn't know. My experience with them is limited and has so far been completely platonic. I can't answer that question with any confidence.

Oh, I very much know all about that. And you don't know me from Adam, but if you want my spiritual resume, you're welcome to it. Although I will PM it because of the previously mentioned reason.

I'm going to be sort of vague about my past. If you'd like to know why I know what I do, PM me.

Spiritually speaking, I've played for both sides. I can tell you exactly why you recoiled, and why she took her time with you. However, she may not know why. I'd have to be in her presence, or you'd have to ask her some questions in order to truly know.

I like being direct, so that's what I'm going to do. That was flat out spiritual. Demonic, to be specific. She had some "friends" who were hanging out with her, and they had fun messing with you. God, being wonderful and merciful, is always with us, so you had the holy spirit telling you to get out. It's very possible, and very likely, the woman had no clue what was going on. To be cognitive or such things, on that side of things, you had to be someone like me. Or shall I say, someone like who I was. The vast majority of people don't know the real world we're living in. They play with such powerful fire...

Anyway, next time you have to see her, pray up. Ask for angels. Put on armor. Text friends and ask them to pray if you're prompted. This was a big deal and a big set up. I would know. I used to set people up all the time.

And pray about my words. God's my ultimate reference.
I hope this doesn't derail the thread too much. It seems like this has become about spiritual warfare anyway. I don't want to use the word "skeptical" because I don't disbelieve you. I very much believe in your background and the knowledge that you have as a result of it. I will say that the first thought that came to my head is that I think the reason a lot of people tend to brush this kind of thing off or feel skeptical of it is that it is talked about in such hush-hush or cryptic terms, and being the curious mind that I am and someone who only ever wants to learn about things he doesn't understand, I'm just wondering if you can elaborate somewhat. Perhaps more detail is better off being explained in a PM, which I am open to. I am just curious about having a better picture of what you think is going on. The questions on my mind are:

-Why did he recoil?
-Why did she take her time with him? (And also, where did this point come from? Because he said that he was in her office for just a few minutes)
-What about it was spiritual/demonic?
-What do you mean when you say that people play with such powerful fire? (This is the type of cryptic statement I'm talking about.)
-What makes it a big deal and a big set up?
-What does it mean to "set someone up?"

Yes, I also would like to know these answers.

This experience has me wigged out.
