I was eating fried liver and onions and watching a nature show where these hyenas were eating a wildebeest and guess what? They ripped out it's liver.....so purplyred and gleaming....I nearly passed out.
Thank you for the graphic description. Others would say you should not be disturbed. That's how nature works. Yeah right.

Those who have been married, anyone NOT get a monster-in-law? I certainly had one LOL
I was running one day and got attacked by two dogs....big dogs. I fought them off as their owner looked on and yelled at me from their porch. Later that day I was telling my "family" about what happened and how I was gonna carry bear spray on my run. My MIL pipes up and says....don't you dare spray those dogs. I knew right then what kind of family I married into.

Two disturbing pictures come to my mind

Being swallowed by a boa constrictor - a typical horror movie scenario

I saw this film about people going underground to get to a massive cave. The problem was they had to crawl through a tunnel for 3/4 of a mile, with it being just 2 ft round. You pushed your gear ahead of you. With others in the tunnel it is a one way trip. I seriously could not do it, just watching the film gave me the chills.

My daughter is going through something now with her future mil. In fact, thanks in large part to her, I think she is going to call it off. The woman truly has serious issues.
The guy my daughter is engaged to, his last GF, from about 6 years ago called it off because of her.
I don't think this guy will ever be married as long as his mom is active in his life.
My daughter has a nine year old from another relationship. The other day my daughters fiance cursed her out, called her a mf.
Now, that is disturbing.
But again, that woman is disturbed.

Mental illness.

I was sharing about mental illness the on another thread and someone took exception to it, as if everyone is really sane.
What is disturbing is to discover all families are different, and if you thought your family had issues, there are always others with a different twist.

What I personally found most troubling is people you meet who throw you an unhappy story which you empathetically get involved with. What you do not realise is it is a sink hole, and the more you talk and get involved the more it pulls you in.

It is because the emotion of the individual has taken over and facts will be bent to fit the feeling rather than facts change the mood. The only answer is to confront the issue, call something wrong that is wrong and move on. If you do not it destroys you, literally. Unfortunately the well meaning and sincere who do not understand this sink hole are often the victims, and can be scarred by the experience. That is very sad, and is often why pastors do not last very long.

On the optimistic side with the right counselling and behavioural therapy people do change, and can become functional again.

My ex-wifes bf cursed me out one day in her driveway and told me to get control of my kids..... I'm sorry, you should have planned accordingly when you chose to get with a "married at the time" woman who had 4 kids.... I just laughed at him. He didnt think that was very funny.. But i sure did :D

If your daughter really loves her fiance she must not let the MIL come between them. Dont worry about her, she wont live forever anyway. ;)

I think evil MIL's are immortal. HAHAHA They never go away. And then, when they are really old... they move in with you.

I've seen a lot of disturbing things in my life, truly, life altering disturbing things. But I'm not going to talking about them here.

However, what is disturbing or at least weird is that I had to get a new cell carrier a couple days ago. I was under contract with my ex step dad and mom. Part of their divorce was to keep the family plan for the duration of the contract of the payments of the new phones. Well, I tried to make a call and was referred to the fraud department. The man I talked to wasn't allowed to tell me anything because I wasn't the one responsible for the account. However, he said the owner had been marked for fraud and all of his phones had been shut down.

So my question is, what happened? What fraud had he committed? What did the guy mean by ALL his phones had been shut down? How many phones did he have?

I went to Verizon and bought a phone. It's just... I'm curious, ya know?! He wasn't a great guy anyway, but ALL his phones. ALL? How many is all? That makes me wonder if he had 17 accounts or something. Maybe that's how he was picking up chicks. lol :p

I know it doesnt really feel good to share your disturbing or traumatic experiences but it can be liberating. Feel free to share yours.

So here goes nothing...

Lately i've been witnessing trolls blowing there covers and getting banned. I know it happens all the time here but being in the crime scene often can be a little disturbing. I'm thankful the trolls get banned but I also feel sorry for them.
Trolls should embrace their true calling -- playing in traffic.
