I never did plans in my past but since last 2 months i have been doing a "step by step plan" to get what i want, not big things to do, just little things that i know i will be able to do in my life, and then i thought that i should had did that since years ago because its working very good for me, so i was wondering
do you do plans?, do you put dates to reach a goals?

I had my life all planned out when I was younger. Fortunately, God had bigger and better plans. I've learned not to try and direct my own life, and at this point am ready for whatever He has in mind. What I think I want may not be what's best for me. His surprises are. :)

Exactly. When I try to plan, God changes it. I can try, but ultimately He's gonna do what He wants.

Seems to me that every time I make plans there are obstacles thrown in the way, like I said thats just the way it seems, it very well could just be my perception. This may be Gods way of showing me that as much as I try to plan out my life, He has a much greater plan being set into action. So I just live in the moment and don't think about tomorrow, I let tomorrow think about itsself :)

Thanks, I can't take any credit for that though haha, it was just a simplified verson of what Jesus said in:

Matthew 6:34
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Glory be to GOD!

I had plans when I was younger and I was never able to pursue any of them. Either they cost too much (flying lessons) or I backed down on them due to listening to all the naysayers telling me I shouldn't focus on that (I wanted to be a professional drummer/musician). So I spent my years working at dead-end companies where I never made much money and had to work my butt off. I always felt it was ok as long as I could pay my bills. I've left that old line of work and am looking for a job in a new field which I spent 2 years in school learning. My new job should at least have benefits and be a place where I can meet other professionals. Here's to a brighter future!

*Green raises a glass. (Something green in there, of course). :)

--on a slightly more serious note Zere, don't back down from God, He beeth the only One you should not say 'won't to unless....you want a Jonah-like episode added to your book of life . And, as a bonus, Tommy
Petty and you could have something to talk about if you both freefell to a date or something. I mean, not romántically, just literal getting together on a certain date at the Hollywood Harrd Rock , since both you striking distance from that tinselly town. You anyway, Zere, live in LA , and, TP just might want to roll in to meet a guy like you. God's mentor for you! Justin Bieber fame awaits :)

haha Thanks a lot Ed! Tom Petty is one of my old favorites. I used to drum to his songs back in the day. Here Comes My Girl was my favorite. I'm not really interested in being a rockstar anymore, but I would love to join a successful local band and maybe play at clubs on the weekends. Thats what I plan to do sometime. Flying will have to wait until I win the lottery or something.

I do, but God has much better ones (plans) than I could ever dream up, for my future, sooo...(síng with me now, peeps),

I'll leave it up to my Lord, He knows what and who I'm looking for. I don't know who and I don't know when but He knows it all and He's my best friende. So, yeah, I'll leave itq up....

:)

Psalms 16:3 Commit your plans to God and you will have success.

In Proverbs the word 'Commit' is used at least a couple times, including 'Commit your ways to the Lord and you will have success.'

Bottom line: Take 'I' OUT of the equation and put God's plans in it , so to speak, and you will be blessed with success. God's best-laid plans for you :) And He's known what's best since the day you were born. (Psalms 139

God bless :)

I so agree with this.

I make plans cause you cant really go about life all haphazardly. At the same time I believe God puts those plans and ideas there. And if you are living a spirit fille dlife then you will feel conviction when you are falling off track and hopefully realize when, where and how God is redirecting you.

The naysayers....Lord, forgive them, even though sometimes they know exactly what they do.

I pray your future is exactly that, Gabe. You've worked hard for it. :)

Sure, do not most things in life take some amount of planning?

I have set goals to lose weight, pay off school debt and a car loan.

During a period of unemployment I have set a goal to each day do at least a little bit of job searching, filling out applications or submitting resumes.

I feel now, that God would want us to be successful in overcoming a challenge if we are able. To, not let a goal makes us weary or give-up, and to not let someone else's negativity deter you from doing something God says you are able.

How else would the world stay together?

You plan to do your homework, you plan to wake up in the morning, you plan to get married or have a girlfriend or boyfriend, you plan to be a good parent, you plan to stay out of trouble.

By all means, PLAN, PLAN, PLAN, because many times if you do not plan then something else comes along to distract from what you may have been planning that is good and godly. And then bad things can happen, but do not always. Not speaking negativity. I've had enough in my life, don't need more on me, or giving it out.

Hope this helps.
