Sure, do not most things in life take some amount of planning?

I have set goals to lose weight, pay off school debt and a car loan.

During a period of unemployment I have set a goal to each day do at least a little bit of job searching, filling out applications or submitting resumes.

I feel now, that God would want us to be successful in overcoming a challenge if we are able. To, not let a goal makes us weary or give-up, and to not let someone else's negativity deter you from doing something God says you are able.

How else would the world stay together?

You plan to do your homework, you plan to wake up in the morning, you plan to get married or have a girlfriend or boyfriend, you plan to be a good parent, you plan to stay out of trouble.

By all means, PLAN, PLAN, PLAN, because many times if you do not plan then something else comes along to distract from what you may have been planning that is good and godly. And then bad things can happen, but do not always. Not speaking negativity. I've had enough in my life, don't need more on me, or giving it out.

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for your post, its very helpful

I too like what Nods said. God will lead us to our plans, its just importante to noté and know...plans change and God will change them during the course of your life to best suit you for bringing glory (witness) to Him.

And, to mamared, I think this well-used but apropriate Bartlett's quote applies: Those who fail to plan plan to fail.

How does that saying go, "We plan and God laughs." I've been on a very long journey that includes grief, healing, and just a total cleansing of my soul. I've learned not plan but to just trust that God is in control. He's the bus driver. The pilot, The Captain of the Ship. Read Isaiah 50:10-11. I've learned to not light my own torches.
