Hey everyone,

Ok, sorry to harp on this a bit--I promise this will be my last thread on this subject--for now, at least, or until Mr. Camping makes another four or five predictions, which I myself happen to predict he will keep on doing as long as he's walking upon this earth.

Just read that he has changed the date to October 21... and that the entire earth will surely be annihilated that day.

It just makes me very sad, and a bit upset, to see millions of dollars spent on false propaganda instead of, let's say, helping all the millions of the victims of natural disasters that don't ever seem to stop coming. Not trying to sound like Judas (who criticized Jesus' anointing with a perfume that cost a year's wages), but I get a lot more upset with "Christians" who do so much damage to the faith than unbelievers who haven't been yet shown the way. These are the days when I'd rather talk to a non-believer than "Christians" who spend megabucks on nonsense like this!!!

So, what do YOU all plan to be doing October 21??? (Supposing the day doesn't come before then? I wonder what Mr. Camping would have to say if everything he's predicting came "early")... I think I'd like to go out and celebrate God's goodness with a big potluck and get-together with my friends here on CC... We could bring dishes such as "I Can't Believe It's Not (The Rapture)" and "Stay-Put Cookies" (100% Rapture-Free...)

Again, I'm NOT trying to make fun of a serious subject... I'm just trying to vent a bit of frustration over people who make themselves into their own god instead of bothering to find out who the real God is.

And he claims that May 21st was the "spiritual apocalypse" so it's pointless to try to win souls now. Everyone else is going to hell. So.. why does he care?

Yea he changed it in the 80's and again in 1994. But still he is getting millions in contributions to his ministry. He is actually on the radio here, or at least he was a few years ago. I listened to him a few times and knew nothing about his predictions. I thought he was just someone who liked to talk about scripture.

He owns American Family Radio. It's the only Christian station I can get in my town. I'll miss the Christian music when it goes bankrupt.

I'll say it again,

Hes not a Christian.
And admittedly I hope he dies soon so he can meet Jesus and be given the biggest lecture of his life then be sent to the place he arrogantly thinks hes not going

I vaguely remember a dream I had a couple years ago in which I was visited by what seemed to be an angel, it gave me a date, all I can remember is the 21st and 2011, I can't remember if a month was even given or not. I thought that it was going to be something big and was wondering if there would be more dreams that would give me more information, but there hasn't been. Now I am starting to think that it was just a heads up about Camping and his "prophecies"

Or it was Satan trying to deceive you into believing a false prophet.

Well, Camping originally called for the Rapture on May 21, with the destruction of the world exactly five months later, in Oct...So, no Rapture, but he's still sticking to the Oct destruction (based on a bunch of verses which have nothing at all to do with anything he's come up with), which ought to scare him nutty (er).

I wouldn't totally count out his radio station, as I heard an interview BEFORE May 21 from a receptionist who works there. She said that she and "Probably better than 80%" of the people who work at the station didn't believe in what Camping was saying.

I wonder why Camping doesn't just go with the odds and say its gonna happen on Dec. 21st, 2012.

That sucks Rissa. But like Kiwi said, there's Air1 and other stations on the net, and if you have HD radio u can probably get a lot of christian stations that way too.

Not for my car during my 45 minute commute to work 5 days out of the week :/ I have plenty of CD's, but I get tired of them. Easily.

Is it just me or does Harold Camping remind you of Roman Grant from Big Love?

They have small portable HD radios that look like mp3 players that are designed to transmit to an FM frequency so you can listen to it in your car. You just tune your car's radio to the portable player's transmit frequency and use the portable radio to select your stations.
