I wouldn't adopt it, but I think the funniest "motto" I ever saw was ...

"Just Did It!"

Why hit the drums when you can sound the trumpet? (Or bassoon, of course)

It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye. [Antoine de Saint-Exupéry]

I know you are not promoting this as theology, and I am not challenging your maturity, and I am not trying to preach, but I just don't like this quote.

From birth, everyones heart is completely deceived in any number of ways. It is only through Christ that we have the opportunity to grow out of the deceit of our hearts. And even in Christians, it it is more of a passing interest that a life commitment.

So there! :p

You don't have to like the quote, Earnest dear, but God knows my heart ~ He redeemed it.

It is human nature to be led by the flesh (emotions, intellect, theology, philosophy, own understanding). But when Jesus Christ makes residence in your heart, you are set free to no longer acknowledge things according to the flesh. God gives us a new heart that we can walk by faith and not by sight.

Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled (Titus 1:15).

II Corinthians 5:7 ~ II Corinthians 5:16 ~ Psalm 97:11 ~ Proverbs 4:23 ~ I Corinthians 13:8 ~ Proverbs 21:2 ~ Psalm 73:26 ~ Matthew 5:8

I have no question about your heart. I have no reason to doubt your sincerity or maturity.

I just don't like that quote. :)

so many amazing mottos were said today....

My motto is "A bird doesn't sing because it has the answers, it sings because it has a song."

I don't need to know it all - I just need to trust God, and sing and be joyful no matter what :)

Amen!! The joy of the Lord is our strength!

I love birds and am so inspired by their beautiful songs. When I lived in Pennsylvania, I heard a bird singing what sounded like the wedding song, "Here Comes the Bride.” After doing some research, I found it was the white-throated sparrow.

One songbird that I wasn’t familiar with before moving to Texas is the meadowlark, which also sings such a sweet song.

“Be here now”

most of of the time people in every situation are not present in reality or real time.
People think about the past, for similar situations to see how to act and be.
people think about the future, how will this situation effect me.
people fantasise or role play out possible way they can act, say or be.
They are thinking about where they are going, and miss the journey and the possibilities, exsperiences and people around them.
we plan our encounters, what we will say and not say, resulting in regret of not acting in the moment.
Conversations are conducted through a filter of our baggage and perceived interpretations of our past discussions, so we never really hear what’s being expressed we just listen to what’s being said or worse just wait and think about what we will say next.

try it for a day and let me know how it goes
