I thought this would be an interesting topic. My natural curiosity often gets to me on these forums and I start wondering why people chose their avatar picture or what their user name means. (Kind of like deciphering those vanity license plates, hehe.)

So this thread is for those who would like to share about their avatars and user names! Have fun!
My avatar is Rick from “Rick and Morty”, real funny show, and my name is randomly generated. I use it for pretty much everything.

I was reading a Charles Stanley devotional a few years ago and he called us to become simple sheep that would follow their great shepherd. I loved that description and also Psalm 23.
I like the idea of simplicity and I’ve been trying to apply it in my day to day life since I read that.
That's probably the best sheep photo I've ever seen!

My avatar is pretty self-explanatory: it's a quote from Psalm 130:6, which is both my username and my favorite Psalm in the Bible. I don't know why but this verse strikes a cord in me every time I read it. The poetic repetition of that final sentence by the psalmist to feel God's Presence is just so beautiful.

My avatar is my Welsh Corgi, Finn (who has since passed). "Inukubo" means "Dog Shogun" in Japanese and it was the Japanese people's nickname for the Shogun Tsunayoshi, who made laws protecting stray dogs and other animals, even to the extent of taking thousands of them in and feeding them extravagant meals on the taxpayers' dime. My ex started calling me that (mockingly) when I started letting the dog jump up on the couch with me, so I owned it and wore the badge proudly just to spite her. LOL.

Hi,
My avatar is a bonsai gardenia tree, sometimes I just use the flower.
My greatest pleasure in life is to smell.
Yep that's what I said.
I love the scent of this southern flower for it is sweet but not sickly. It's like breathing in sunshine and fresh air.
Next time you enter a restaurant, close your eyes and smell.....next cup of coffee do the same.....see how many smells can uplift your emotions!

The first part of my username is my name, the second part I just added for fun.

I’ve picked this avatar because she has long red hair like myself and because her attitude reflects mine. Also she looks better than me.😁

I love Godzilla. Have since I was but yea high. Needed a virtual ID, figured on the big lizard. And really, on this earth, who's bigger than Godzilla?

I also thought George Costanza. I bring him in here with quotes.

George and Godzilla. Two great living things great together.

Well, I may not see want to see you go, but I love to watch you leave :D (hey, butterflies are gorgeous to watch!)
Once I had one land on the back of my hand in the sunshine for a few moments...it was such a blessing... it moved it’s wings like the one in the clip 🥰🦋

I actually had a dragonfly land on my hand. A red one. Couldn't believe it. They are usually quite skittish around people. Not sure what it was thinking, but he/she seemed perfectly comfortable with no interest to leave.

Lanolin means either sheep grease or my preference 'anointed sheep'
It can also be used as a moisturiser

!

Why because sheep are warm and cuddly, and I come from a land with lots of 'em. And of course the Lord is my shepherd

So, does that make it 'sheep grease moisturizer ointment' - or should it just be 'moisturizing sheep grease'? :giggle:

I used to post on MySpace in the astrophysics, religion, and science forums as StarChoice. Somewhere on the web I wanted to use StarChoice but couldn’t because there was a satellite network with that name in Canada and I was denied, so I added New to it and because it was an email address I kept that user name.

The Avatar is Jesus from the book of Revelation. I added to a poster Revelation 10:8, the seven stars in his right hand, the seven stars above his head and took a picture of it. The picture represents Revelation 10.

Revelation 1:20 King James Version

20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches

The crown of seven stars above his head represent the seven Sprits of God.

Revelation 3:1 King James Version

3 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

Revelation 10:8 above the hands holding a Bible open.

Revelation 10:8 King James Version

8 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.

My life and Revelation 10 are very much in alignment, and the Lord willing, he will release the Revelation he speaks of in that chapter to this generation, but we have to do something about it, and that is what I am working on.
