It's like that time
when a 'flashmob of angels'
-totally unexpectedly-
appeared above the fields of Ephratah
and announced the birth
of the newborn King:
Glory to God in the highest,
and peace on earth, good will toward men!
Like then
some were amazed, some were startled,
some were not interested, annoyed,
some just ignored that song of praise
because it distracted them
from their meaningless chitchat.
I probably
would have sung along
with that choir at Food Court,
like I definitely
would have joined in
with the choir at Ephratah,
singing praises
to our Lord...
Glory to God!

Catherder, I completely get what you said about Mary, Did You Know? striking you in the heart. It's a powerful song. I sing it at church at least once in December in hope that it will touch as many people as possible.
Oncefallen and didymos, I have being singing most of my life and I have to say that standing in a choir singing the Hallelujah Chorus is one of the most impactful things I've ever done musically. It absolutely does remind you of what it might have sounded like the night the angels sang His glory.
