Those posts of pics of us as kids has made me reflective...
What children bedtime stories were read to you/ did you read, as you were all snug as a bug in a rug?

Awww bug in a rug was one of my bedtime stories. I also got read Curious George a lot and some really cool fairy tale books which had these awesome illustrations in them.

Unfortunately my mother never told me bedtime stories. She would only have me repeat the Lord's Prayer, and after she left, my older brother (who I shared a room with) would tell me ghost stories, and I literally couldn't go to sleep many nights until I saw the morning sun shine in through my window (then I knew it was safe to go to sleep).

Haha looking at the cover of the Berenstein Bears book, I hadn't noticed before that everyone is terrified of the dad...even the owl lamp is looking concerned for the boy! :(

Let's see the Commander Toad series haha, and then there was a book it had a dog in a red sweater and one in a green sweater and they went skiing. I dont remember the name but i do remember sitting on the couch with my mom reading the book to her. Must have been kindergarten probably.

Goodnight Moon!!! I have a copy of it in my office. :) My parents are not readers and this was one of the few stories my Mom did read to us. My brother and I scoured every page to find the little mouse in the story, even though he was only on a few pages.

Years later, I found a "grown-up" version in that Dean Koontz put out a children's book that featured a mouse hidden in the design of each illustration... Alas, there were a few pages that had me stumped!! (Couldn't find the mouse. :()

I'm bigger than my brother now, so instead I just beat him up until the sun rises, and then I go to sleep (I feel more productive that way!!!).

The little engine that could, and where the wild things are were my two favorites...we were also loaded with the berenstein bears and little critter books.

I was born before bedtime stories were invented. :D Well...there were some that were chiseled in stone, but it really wasn't a good idea to read in bed by torch light. (HUSH Pastor Steve!) :)

My mom picked up a copy of "Goodnight iPad" for my niece...I absolutely love that the baby has an iPhone with a 'rattle' app.
