Ya did great letting the natural wood grain come out and shine with that rich maple color. (At least it appears to be that honey/maple color)
I tried to keep it really light to match other furniture, but with 3 different woods, I added a little red to balance things out... It's maturing well (y)

Just a suggestion...
Would Christ's crown of thorns be more... "on point" here? :giggle:
When I look at it, I see her as being in a garden with two trees... :D

Which was not done deliberately, but...

I have also been working on this one, inspired by @posthuman :)

If you have seen post's media, it is often pictures of beautiful flowers with some monstrous bug on them o_O:LOL:

That is why I put a bee on the strawberries... and the fruit speaks to/of his Christian character :D

It looked like this ^ earlier today, but that was too dark for me, and although I liked the font it
was a bit too doodly, if you know what I mean... it has to be legible or it defeats the purpose.

Originally it was a mixture of pastel colors; I spent two days working with another face before scrapping it.

I may do some more with it yet :)

I like the contrast between the oranges and greens :D

In pigments they are opposites ;)

I do tend to richer deeper more vibrant colors :)

I said it was too dark earlier but meant too much black...

It is the tangle of tree branches in the lower right corner that I think needs... reduction.

Probably shouldn't take advice from a blind man anyway :geek:

Oh, I appreciate the feedback :) Overall they do tend to be busy and I have overdone it at times, but going
the opposite direction? They sometimes look too spare and austere. I like the riot of colors, and flowers. Obviously LOL.

Here is one that is less busy :)

I stopped constructing Jesus figures because some people were offended by them

Well, we certainly can't worry "too much" about those we offend can we...?

Yes, it is odd, that some were those who were quite vociferous about our freedom in Christ (not the whole grace being a license-to-sin thing), fighting mightily against those they considered legalists... then they would turn around and let me know how disgusted they were and act like I was committing some unpardonable sin  Overall I thought it best to turn my attention to constructing other figures. Ha, then there was the inevitable criticisms about my figures being representative of female angels, since there is no Biblical record of such, and then the criticism that they were too attractive and therefore distracting. Yes, everyone's a critic LOL. I still appreciate the feedback even if it is not going to immediately or directly alter my course/style, which I hope develops and progresses over time any ways :)

My favorite hobbies usually involved mechanical things like guns, cars, bikes & motorcycles. Due to arthritis, glaucoma & cataracts most things I used to enjoy the most have become things of the past.

Thank God for CC .

But I did spell reconciliation wrong

Prolly a result of trying out differing translations of the same verse... :geek:

I'll fix that too :)

Ugh :giggle:

And I added the extra "O" just because it makes more sense.

I thought so too... but not according to the KJV ;):D

It is a legitimate variant, apparently :)
I also thank Jesus for my new church because when my legs are too sore to walk to the bus stop, I can watch it online. I was never a big fan of that kind of ministry but now that I'm more severely impaired I've changed my opinion. Many like me are blessed several times a week by this modern ministry.

I'd prefer fellowship in person but I have some Christian friends living in our seniors only building.
