Good evening peeps - Happy New Year. Just read some entries last night. Just got my Internet back after moving. I did not move to Tulsa. I backed out on that the very day I was to move there. It just didn't feel right. Checked around and found an apartment in Vinita for $150 less a month. That will help the budget.

I probably won't post too much this weekend. I'll just read and catch up. BFN.

Ooohwee! You like living on the windy side. Joplin isn't all that far and that was the worst tornado ever I think. Ya'll have that lake on the west side where water has no place to go! There's a lot of flood plain up north of there and empties all that silt in the "poor" lake. The rich river is just to the east. The (I had to go look it up) the Neosho River, rich man's lake. There's a ton of big houses around there. I guess the Branson folks. I think they quit measuring monetary success by railroad tracks. It's bodies of water now.

What did everyone do for New Year's? My friends and I got together for a virtual game night! We all went to bed at 10:30, though. *shrugs*

I didn't do much. I read for most of the night and unenthusiasticly said "yay" at midnight.

I was in early as well. I hit the hay before 9. I like to experience the dreams He gives.

I was reading things about cryptids. After that I turned on Goosebumps and drew the rest of the night. Nothing exciting.
Oh gosh, I haven't watched goosebumps in a while. I bought all the series over the summer.

I think that sounds like a pretty good night!

Oh, I love that! :)

Did ya do anything before you went to bed at 9?

what do you do for work ?
I have been laid off since mid March due to COVID mostly, after working at
three different places of employment in the same industry for forty four years.
I worked in a photo lab, primarily printing and color correcting :)

Gurl, me too.

It's been like that for months! Did you go to bed that early last night, then?
I went to bed a little later than that last night, awoke quite a few times throughout, and finally got up @ 4:15 :D

I am having my morning coffee :) :coffee::coffee::coffee:

I am, too! What do ya put in it?!
These days I am drinking Nescafé Rich instant coffee. I had not made my own coffee at homes for years, since it was free at work :giggle: My daughter started buying it for me when I was laid off in March, and I found I enjoyed it, especially since the caffeine does not bother me, which it can do with fresh ground if I drink too much or don't eat soon enough after having coffee. I also like that it is fair trade ;) I add a small tsp of golden sugar with the same amount of Truvia, and add unsweetened evaporated skim milk plus cashew milk :) I like my coffee strong, sweet and creamy (y) How about you? :D

I think forever ago, you might remember I'm a life coach and want to be a fitness life coach - so, my coffee is just the gross kind: the healthy kind with almond milk in it and two teaspoons of stevia. Haha. I mean, the healthiest form of coffee is black, but I'm like you - I need sweet and creamy, so I need to put SOMETHING in it. Your coffee sounds super healthy! I might try that way :)

I'm so extremely sorry about your lay off :(

Thank you Shineyourlight, but with everything else going on, the lay-off was actually really good timing, plus I had just turned sixty-five... not that I was planning to retire, and my boss had told me I could work as long as I wanted to, but with the whole COVID thing? It has really affected business. So it is like a taste of retirement LOL. And time is flying by!!!

I used almond milk a few times when cashew milk was unavailable. However, it makes the coffee taste too much like almonds (and I do like almonds), and aside from the sweeet and creamy, I want my coffee to taste like coffee. I am no fan of flavored coffees, or lattes or whatever ;) I used stevia almost exclusively at work, also. I have been using stevia for decades :D Truvia ingredients include erythritol (a sugar alcohol), stevia leaf extract, and natural flavorings :)
