I had met such god fearing lady friend, and it is not easy to find us people. I would say it is miracle. You should fully trust God. To me, I had met the most attractive lady to me. I was not looking for someone of the opposite gender. Both of us were at campmeeting. I smiled at her and she smiled back. To me it isn't love at first sight. And I would say according to my experience. Love is not feeling but a total commitment to that person. Feelings come and again but you should make decision to love.

First I think it's important to define love. Love is sacrifice as seen on the cross. It's about laying your life down for the person you love. This love could be for anyone: mothers, fathers, sisters, a friend, etc. For example, you get home from working all day. You want to rest or take a nap. But you see that your mother called. She lives alone and you haven't seen her in over a week. Should you rest or visit her? I think that's what love is. When you make the decision to go see your mother instead of doing what you want. Maybe you even cook her a meal and take her trash out. Love is about making decisions that make you uncomfortable, but are pleasing to the person you love.

Being "in love" is similar, I think. I wouldn't know because I've never loved anyone like that before. I thought I had but na. I think that type of love is just another decision you make. You decide to love someone maybe even forever by sacrificing for their comfort. This type of love is different in that you become one with that person. You are willing to share your life with him/her. But it involves sacrifice...more than any other relationship you will have with another human being.

Love is doing unto others as you would like for others to do unto you. Respect and kindness mostly, because no one wants to be hurt by another. This kind of love covers a multitude of sins.

It would break your heart, if she cheated on you tho, & you don't need that, believe me, I know. The man that I feel in love with I could never trust. I had to get deliverance & soul ties broken to give him up completely, & it took me over 10 years, believe it or not, that's how much I loved him. So please be careful, as that sort of pain can ruin your life, if your not fully grown in The LORD, & can handle all the Spiritual help that comes with, making the wrong choice. Our heart has to be 100% surrendered to The LORD first, before letting someone take control of it first! Amen!

I completely agree with you. And I must share that I had internal struggle where I loved my lady friend very much and I thought to myself how will I react if she though to find someone else and marry him. What would my reaction be like? Will that affect my relationship with God?

That was something I struggle with and put things into perspective that whatever happens, God should be first always

Put GOD first, spend time with HIM & HIS WORD, daily, walk through the desert with HIM, spend time in the wilderness. Grow in HIS strength. Praying daily for HIS perfect will in your life always. No matter who or what the enemy brings your way, say NOOOOOO, don't be deceived by the things of this world. When HE has refined you like Silver, & you know how to stand in the storm with only JESUS in control, then you will be truly be ready to fall in love with GODS chosen partner, for life! Amen
I'm telling you this as I may not seem like one who has done all that, yet believe me I have, & I am still humble, NO worldly pride here it has all been stripped away in the last 17 years. Someone already mentioned in here defining what love is, which for me according to scripture, God is Love. The difference between mans love and Gods love is that God has unconditional, overwhelming, unlimited Love that has no boundaries. What I’ve discovered during the years when I was in a dark place was that as much as I tried finding love in men for the wrong reasons, no love like Gods love can never surpass. God showed me this and ever since then, I want a man who is after Gods love first before me.

I’ve only ever loved one guy that I was in a relationship with and that felt good.
