What was this thread created for and why is my name mentioned so many times in it?

So, the story goes like this. One day, Pop asks me why I had changed my avatar to Tintin's avatar and why I had changed my nationality to Malaysia. I had to clarify that I had done nothing of that sort. But during the course of this clarification, the wheels starting turning in my head, and the rest, as they say, is history...

Edit: I thank my teammates, shineyourflashlight and Abing, for trolling many of the regulars spectacularly. :D

This whole bit is one of the reasons I use my own photograph, and I don't change it. (However, on some forums I use a drawing I made of a little blue cartoon airplane.)

A long time ago a male CC member put up the picture of a female CC friend as his avatar--and it was the same picture she was using as her avatar, too.

Talk about mass confusion.

C'mon, everyone. I think we all need to use Willie-T's picture as our avatars... Roh_Chris will probably take the lead! :p

Well, it's certainly a fine-looking photo to use!

Oh.................. You meant my little airplane, Albert?

Several users tonight had the same avatar as longtime member Popclick (and it was confusing me to pieces at first.)

I'm often guilty of just glancing at an avatar and "knowing" (or thinking I know) who the person is just from the picture, and then I read some posts (particularly Roh_Chris's) that made me think, "WHAT IS GOING ON HERE??? POP DIDN'T WRITE THIS!! WELL WHO THE HECK IS THIS GUY??!!!"

It's lot like seeing red, blue, and yellow.

Try looking at all three of those words and stating what color it is (green, red, and blue) instead of what the actual word states.

Yeah. It was a lot like that.
next they will be copying you.

Right? I do the same for the same reason. ;)
ARGH!!! You guys are forcing me to READ!!!!

I kept looking at the top post, then looking at the bottom post, then looked at the pictures thinking, "Why would Willie post this??!! Oh wait... Is that Sib--WHA???" and... BEH!!!

As if I weren't already befuddled enough!!!

Once I figure out what's going on... you know, in a day or two, I actually laugh hysterically.

No, no, it was her left brain which was slow. I am fine.

Once explained what was going on though, we laughed hysterically.

Who in the hee-haw would do that?

The nerve!
And now I'm thinking to MYSELF, "Wait!!!??? When did I post THIS???"

On the plus side, I am now apparently 27 years of age. :D

Roh is definitely setting the tone for my new fashion "look" in 2016--a white coat done up in fancy laces.

Pretty soon I won't have to worry about either side of my brain being slow, because there's just not going to be anything left.
