The older I get the more picky I am about who and what I'll donate money to. Just up and donate money to people to go on trips and make travelogues about it? Nope I'm not going to. Pay to buy or watch an exceptionally well done travelogue? I might do that, just like buying any other movie. Now I have considered donating to online products that have enriched my life such as CC or a few well written blogs that I find the articles interesting and thought provoking, but I haven't put a lot of money into it. But the truth is I'm so picky about who I donate to that there are missionaries I know personally that I don't think I'll ever donate to again because I've seen how they manage their money and I"m not sure it's the best investment for the kingdom (and there are a couple people I support regularly because I know they're awesome to the core and I value both what they do and how they're doing it). All that to say with all the needs in the world, I just can't imagine donating to some stranger on the internet just so they can keep entertaining me. Purchasing something I like, yes, but a straight donation, no.

I suppose I just don't see the value in travel vlogs. Definitely not enough to pay a 20-30 something year old to take a disney vacation.

Wait a minute, you guys are comparing street performers with folks who review expensive resort parks?? Those street performers are usually starving artists and if you look into the background of successful musicians you'll see that a number of them had done street performing at one time or another. And i doubt they are drug addicts because it takes a lot of Discipline and control to be able to play an instrument well. Its the lead singers that do the drugs. The musicians only get into drugs after theyve become successful and rich!
