The sad thing is when the Secular people would rather homeschool their kids because of how horrible the schools have gotten. Sorry PostManPat, doesn't work. (It's your name. Reminds me of that kid's cartoon.)

Tell a legalist how well your children are doing in public school.
Invite a legalist to the movie theater.
Invite a legalist to a pool party.

A church that my wife and I had at one time attended several years ago had a private school and they were really on you about getting you to enroll your kids in that private school. Home schooling was also acceptable to them, but if you kept your kids in the public school, you were shunned by them. They also pushed for women to wear long dresses and men to wear suits. The only musical instrument allowed during worship was a piano. Guitars and drums were strictly forbidden. The list goes on. Although it's true that public schools are getting worse, it doesn't mean they are all completely terrible. The public school where my wife works is still a very good school. There are many Christians on the school board and the Principal is a Christian.

We need more ideas... I think I smell legalists coming!

What about making inappropriate jokes - at funerals, weddings, christenings, make them all the time.

Where sleeveless shirts.
Have dyed hair.
Actually suggest doing something different from the status quo.

The laughable thing is.... drums and stringed instruments were in the Bible, but never a piano.

And the sound of a ram's horn.

It's hardly a docile instrument. I really don't understand the argument that some music is inherently evil. Although that's a good point.

Metal scares away legalists!

Preach grace so much they accuse you of the same thing they accused Paul of..

Romans 3
5 But if our unrighteousness serves to show the righteousness of God, what shall we say? That God is unrighteous to inflict wrath on us? (I speak in a human way.) 6 By no means! For then how could God judge the world? 7 But if through my lie God's truth abounds to his glory, why am I still being condemned as a sinner? 8 And why not do evil that good may come?—as some people slanderously charge us with saying. Their condemnation is just.

There are churches of Christ that forbid ALL musical instruments during worship and only acapella singing is allowed.

Not odor, but "Obey us, cause we are more holier then thou"/pharisee type thing. Legalism has been around for years. You would recognize them if you entered because of the atmosphere is usually, "you're are not one of us, therefore you must not be saved." If you have never stepped foot into one while visiting churches, you are very fortunate.

Simple, dressing up like Morticia Addams does the job for me. And everyone around me, for that matter.

10. Start each sentence off with "Well, the Living Bible says..."

9. Teach the pastor's wife how to salsa dance in the church lobby right after the service.

8. Arrange a Dixieland version of a favorite hymn and the musicians play it during the service (I did this with "At the Cross.")

7. If you are a man, ask for a woman's opinion on a spiritual matter.

6. If you are a woman, ride your motorcycle to church.

5. Be over 30 and content with being single for the time being.

4. If you are a woman and asked to help in the nursery, politely decline.

3. Raise your hands while praising God.

2. If you are a man, make a dish for one of the members who is a shut-in or seriously ill.

1. Mention that you cooked with wine when making the dish and that you nipped a bit during the process.
Its that frog!
