This world is increasingly negative and quite honestly some days are a struggle. I challenge you to find something you are grateful for each day.

What are you grateful for today?

In a negative world, find something I'm grateful for?

I'm grateful for all the cynics and pessimists...
they're extraordinarily honest.

I'm grateful for having a roof over my head... and more so because I'm saved.

You know... there's wisdom in the negative...

Ecclesiastes 7:4 The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning, but the heart of fools is in the house of pleasure.

Just saying

Alright, I'm going to get all serious for a minute, but that's all.
Don't expect any more after this.

The great wonder of God is in the profound mixture of the positive and the negative.

We are desperately wicked and fallen creatures, and we live in the most desperately wicked and fallen world, in the most desperately wicked of times... and YET... in the midst of this, as bad as it is, God can still save us, bless us, and give us unfathomable peace.

THAT is the miracle.
God reaches into the darkest of places, and he doesn't remove the darkness around us; he instead puts the light into our hearts... so that we walk through a profoundly dark world, and yet our hearts are full of light and peace.

Alright.
Don't expect me to be serious again for a really long time.

I'm grateful that today during my family cookout, no one got into a fight! That's honestly a really big deal since my family always fights. :/

I'm very very grateful that my younger cousin asked me about the bible. She has never read the bible or asked about God before and all day long she asked question after question. :)

That was a nice read. By the way, I was reading your post... and I guess I accidentally quoted you. Just in case you think I was replying to you. I so wasn't.

Toilet paper. I'm thankful for having toilet paper each day. Beats using old clothing and holey socks. Yeah. Poverty sucks.

Heh. I used to work at a cabinet shop. On one office wall they had a bumper sticker, "If you object to logging, try plastics for your toilet paper."

I'm grateful for God's love and mercy on all of us.

I'm also thankful that my mom and brother are both amazing people and make life so much easier for me. They have always been there for me when life brings me down or I'm in my depressive state. I appreciate that they are both so positive and strive to get me to think the way they do. It has helped me tremendously.
